Lead the daily maintenance planning activities
Follow-up daily PTW work.
Recommend/develop changes to operating and departmental procedures that will improve the safety and effectiveness of the operations.
Insures all technical and procedural systems operate properly.
Participate in planning production schedules, documentation, staffing requirements, and manufacturing controls.
Provides Guidance to team members, and leads problem-solving processes and root cause analysis.
Define major problems that might face operators during day-to-day operations and use a step-by-step approach to analyze and solve these problems.
Insure that all laws, regulations, industry standards and compliance issues, E H&S standards, and procedures are followed as goods are moved into and out of the facilities.
Participate in cross-training DCS operators.
Ensure that safety observations are reviewed during the safety meetings.

PROCESS CHEMIST (pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up) at The Egyptian Ethylene & Derivatives Company - ETHYDCO

Part of the owner Process team responsible for handling Pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up activities of utility plant "including Zero Liquid Discharge system" as follows:
- Monitoring the EPC performance during the construction phase of the plant.
- Revising P&ID’s, 3D model, control philosophy and vendor datasheets and manuals. 
- Performing initial and final walk-through to produce the punch lists and monitor punch items clearance with the contractor. 
- Inspection of systems for mechanical completion until mechanical completion certificate (MCC) is issued. 
- Piping installation status document preparation and monitoring piping completion, hydro tests and leak tests. 
- Performing Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for the site equipment 
- Monitoring loop checks, field instruments testing and Function testing on complex loops logics
- Preparing commissioning and start-up procedures and checklists. 
- Monitoring the flushing/purging of pipelines.
- Ensuring ready for start-up certificate is issued and documented. 
- Handling the start-up of utility plant units.

Post-Start-up
- Responsible for handling the safe operation of the utility plant in ETHYDCO after the start-up stage is commenced. 
- Monitor and improve efficiency of process units operations (water treatment, Cooling Tower, Steam, Air Package and ZLD"Brine Concentrator / Crystallizer”)
- Participate in starting up the TQMS in the company.
- Participate in training the field operators to be familiar with safety as per plant responsible care .
- Expects the consequences of process deviations and their effects on safety/product quality and take action to overcome.
- Establish and ensure compliance of an established housekeeping schedule.
- Continuously monitors the process parameters and take corrective actions to minimize production loss with prior instruction from Shift Supervisor and in coordination with Lead operator & Field operators
- Ensure safety in maintenance and production activities.
- Provide assistance to junior production operators in their assigned responsibilities.
- Plant operation trouble shooting for assigned areas of plant ensuring that corrective actions have been completed.
