Job Description
• Offer project consultation services to Project Directors, Technical Managers, Construction Managers, Piling supervisors etc. on various issues such as type of equipment required, Crane lifting capacities and so on.
• Provide justification for trading of Assets (Plant Machinery & Vehicles) based on values and expenses and also provide an estimate repair cost.
• Inspection of various assets: Plant Machinery & Vehicles and adhering to quality standards.
• Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.
• Provide technical support within the workshop or on site to the company’s fleet of machines.
• Create maintenance procedures and monitor and control maintenance costs.
• Supervise the engineering and technical staff and assist with the day to day activities.
• Undertake repairs and complete overhaul of a wide range of heavy machines such as Crawler Cranes, Excavators etc. Also seek budgetary quotes for initial procurement.
• Provide support in purchasing or hiring of Plant Machinery & Vehicles based on site requirements.
Project I: VLCC jetty, Fujairah - UAE (2015)
Worked very closely with the piling department and assisted in the construction of a jetty for huge crude oil vessels approx. 2 kilometers offshore in Fujairah, UAE. A hydraulic Jack-up barge with an attached piling frame (for raged piles) was used. About 190 piles of 60mtr in length and 2mtr dia were hammered to about 25mtr below the sea bed by using a S200 IHC hydro hammer.

Project II: Qatar International Airport Extension (2016)
Inspected, repaired, commissioned and tested three TEREX BIDWELL Airport and Highway Concrete paver machines as a requirement for the extension project of the Qatar International Airport.
The Hydraulic Division of German-Gulf Enterprises represents Bosch Rexroth Group - Germany as sole
distributors in UAE and also service various reputed brands like Hydac - Germany, Sauer Danfoss - Germany,
Poclain Hydraulics - France and many others.
• Supplied components, modules and systems required to drive and control mobile and industrial machines & assisted in choosing the optimum product for varied applications with an emphasis on marine sectors.
• Liaised with potential customers, marketed various products, assessed customer requirements and provided quotations based on customer queries.
• Undertook repair and overhaul of a wide range of hydraulic aggregates such as pumps, motors, cylinders, control valves, accumulators etc.
• Testing and calibration of hydraulic pumps and motors to original specification.
• Well versed in a myriad of on-site operations such as commissioning, trouble shooting, up-gradation, flushing and contamination monitoring of hydraulic systems.
• Worked with ISO 9001-2008 & ISO 14001 which facilitated a green approach to all hydraulic solutions
Specialized in short and medium term rentals of aerial work platforms (HAULOTTE) and compaction and
paving equipment's (AMMANN).
• Inspected, repaired & maintained the company's fleet of powered access machines(electric/diesel)
• Carried out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of machines at customer sites and at depot/workshops as required.
• Troubleshooting and repair of machines within the workshop, depot or on site as required to ensure conformance with manufacturer's specification and company policy.
• Revised the preventive maintenance schedules that brought down the monthly breakdown associated downtime by 20% by applying FMEA
Initially employed as a math tutor and promoted to quality analyst for tutoring sessions and trained new employees in the field of tutoring.
Projects: • Hybrid engine: Designed and fabricated a hybrid engine which combined the best of petrol and electric power technologies to propel the vehicle. With Green awareness growing at a rapid pace this project fell in line with the theme by aiming to reduce fuel consumption and air pollution. A two wheeler engine was successfully modified to suit a Hybrid model, thus using both the prime movers in their optimal range of efficiencies. • Electric Skateboard: Conceptualized, designed and fabricated an electric skateboard to assist with personal transportation. The unit had a skateboard frame, a battery pack, a motor and 2 pressure sensors which controlled acceleration and deceleration. • Designed a gas and a crude oil pipeline for the hydraulics of pipelines course as well providing detailed cost analysis of the project and showing all the parameters of interest and importance. A detailed project plan was drawn up and this gave me good exposure on how to run entire projects. • Designed and simulated a pressure sensor for an alarm system as a part of the engineering measurements course. This sensor is to be integrated into a system as a gauge to monitor the pressure and as a precautionary measure.
