Report to the Chairman-General Manager, the Board of Directors and the Board Risk Committee.
Supervise and prepare Central Bank and Banking and Control Commission’s reports such as ICAAP.
Recommend for Board approval the Bank’s risk appetite/tolerance. Provide support, oversight and challenge on the bank’s risk appetite statements.
Assists executive senior management in drawing the bank’s risk management policy, setting limits and periodically revising them.
Assess the risks inherent in new product offerings and expansion in to new markets.
 Ensure the bank has a robust and consistent risk management and control framework (Identification of risks, Measurement and Assessment, Control and mitigation, Monitoring, Reporting and Definition and subsequent fine-tuning of the risk policy).
Monitor the bank’s risk profile against its risk appetites.
Play a leading role in defining and embedding the bank’s risk culture.
Provide risk awareness training across the bank.
Work with other oversight functions such as Compliance and Audit to provide a comprehensive, robust and efficient assurance framework.
Oversee and challenge the risk and control assessment programme to capture expected risks.
Oversee and challenge the bank’s stress test and scenario analysis to capture unexpected extreme risks.
Help in defining and challenging the Key Risk Indicators used for risk monitoring.
Test risk models and key controls within the business, and recommend improvements.
Advice on risk based process mapping.
Support the bank’s risk IT system. Ensure that there is a data warehouse and management information system in place.
Prepare and supervise the Business Continuity and Contingency Planning. Ensures that there is a succession plan for key positions in addition to a disaster recovery procedure.
Participates in different committees that are related to risk management.

CREDIT MANAGER at FINANCE BANK SAL

Overall supervision of dept; Manage department’s overall activities (Report to Chairman-General Manager).
External relationships with Central Bank, Banking Control Commission, External Auditors, Information Providers and Real Estate Experts. Review and comment on their reports. Prepare and supervise Monthly & Quarterly Central Bank & External Auditor Reports.
Develop business and exert marketing efforts, together with branch managers to attract clients. Manage relationship between the bank and a portfolio of corporate accounts and ensure quality of service provided to them. Work closely with corporate customers to understand their banking requirements offering them proper packages that optimize their business relation with the bank, maximize utilization of lines granted to them and manage the profitability of the relationship.
Review & sign loan application packages, analysis, pledge agreements, contracts; Evaluate credit files/reports/applications with attention to credit risk and profitability and add recommendations. Analyze and assess all risks associated with Commercial/ Corporate Customers and make relevant Recommendations.
Follow up potential default credit files problem solving & rescheduling, remedial action, loan classifications. Taking necessary steps to ensure settlement of accounts. Ensure Effective follow up & monitoring of accounts and proactively identify problems to reduce the associated risks, by reviewing financial capacity, business profile, and repayment capability.
Evaluate and determine the credit risk rating for both (existing & potential) obligors & facilities.
Act as a business advisor to the corporate /commercial clients.
Letter of Guarantee’s issuance, amendment, payment, release & receipt.
Ensuring that thorough checks are carried out on credit customers.
Coordinate with various departments and lawyers.
Monitor and report the performance of direct subordinates and recommend appropriate training.
