Scope of work: Design & Build “EPC” of Mataf Expansion project of an approximate built up area of 250, 000 m² including one basement floor and other four ring floors.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Producing bills of quantities based on International standards “CSI & POMI”.
• Quantifying construction works at the various stages of a project; i.e. quantities verification and pricing the BOQs based on design/IFC drawings, specifications, BOQ preamble and the bid methods of measurement.
• Reviewing the received build up unit-rates including direct and indirect costs.
• Evaluating the material on/off site.
• Reviewing and evaluating received suppliers and sub-contractors bids.
• Leading other junior quantity surveyors for quantities verifications and bids evalua-tion.
• Preparing and updating the project cost estimates during the different design and construction stages.
• Providing evaluation report for the client based on the received technical and commercial proposals from pre-qualified bidders or contractors.
• Managing and controlling the numerous issued revisions of IFC drawings, technical specifications, contract amendments, site instructions and other documents to be submitted to the contractors through a proper channel and a clear procedure to avoid any disputes or improper construction of works at site as much as possible.
• Monitoring the actual construction costs and providing the client with financial advices to take the necessary action at the right time to avoid extra constructions costs, time extensions, claims and disputes which could be raised by the contractors.
