Set-up & lead the supply chain in order to achieve the Company targets as well as to implement efficient and effective Supply Chain processes & structures in Egypt. This job will report directly to the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop Supply Chain & Distribution Strategy based on the local market & legal requirements considering set-ups & best practice processes.
• Responsible for product demand planning in coordination with sales team.
• Responsible for setting the optimum inventory levels considering cash net working capital & end customer service level.
• Supervise procurement, to ensure product availability by monitoring planning & delivery plans while maintaining stocks at the right levels, avoiding obsolescence.& ensuring best inventory turnover.
• Responsible to define the required material warehousing capacity, to accommodate materials at the right conditions meeting the company SHE standards.
• Design the operating procedures to ensure best stock rotation considering the agreed upon distribution strategy.
• Responsible to design and implement the logistics policies and procedures that ensure best customer service level and optimum cost.
• Responsible for conducting regular meetings with sales and top customers to discuss ways to improve efficiency & customer satisfaction.
• Actively contribute to set the KPIs and reporting system.
• Responsible to coach, motivate and assess supply chain team.
• Responsible to monitor and update the master data in SAP system.
• Develop and improve the performance of department staff, ensure high efficiency.
• Hire, evaluate, promote and recommend salary increase for staff.
To develops and manages the necessary plans to ensure product availability within SC Johnson Site with the required quantities at the required quality standards at the right time. The job is also responsible for Material Planning Management - which includes; production planning, purchasing & finished goods stock level replenishment and direct material to maintain 100% Customer satisfaction while achieving the inventory levels targets.
Principal Accountability / Responsibilities :-
•Manage & develop the necessary plans to meet the sales demand, smooth the production requirements and protect against stock-out.
•Manage material requirements planning - MRP techniques, through effective usage of the plant MRP system to minimize inventory while assuring product availability.
•Manage, issue& follow up on the Production Plans to meet the volume targets and to achieve low-cost, on-time deliveries
•Manage & develop the necessary plans required to minimize stock days of Raw and Pack while maintaining customer satisfaction levels and minimizing the obsolete stocks, control the slow moving items, applying the phase in/ phase out plans, monitoring the expiry date.
•Manage the replenishment activities using proper communication methods while keeping good relations with our approved suppliers.
•Evaluating the supplier’s performance to assure product availability on time by the required quantity & quality using the necessary parameters.
•Issue & develop the company polices required to manage inventory using the most proper techniques & international standards to deliver the required business targets.
•Manage, coach, train and lead the Planning Department team to develop & grow the team while ensure top performance.
Liaise with other functions within the Integrated Supply Chain to best deliver the required targets and to avoid/resolve potential issues.
•Manage all planning & compliance reports to be issued accurately & on time. Track and report progress on conversion productivity in partnership with the finance team.
•Manage the finished goods stock boundary levels using the daily follow up techniques and by adjusting the supply plans to assure keeping the available FG stock within the required level.
•Provide / apply valuable continuous improvement initiatives
Objective
• To develop, direct and manage the Logistics function of the company in the Egypt, comprising purchase, warehousing and distribution, in line with company objectives and meeting Customer service target .
• To ensure effective cost control and efficient procurement, storage, handling and administration of inventories.
• Correctly setting and follow-up of performance targets for Logistics & Distributions activities.
•Driving cost saving and continuous service improvement in logistics.
•Solving adequately any occurring issue in Logistics & Distributions
Key Responsibilities
•Manage On Time in Full to First Trade Customers.
•Own KPIs and deliver optimized customer service (OTIF), product availability(OOS) and cost-to-serve (CtS) to First Trade Customers for all regions in the country by initiating and run projects/programmers aligned with the Regional Logistics strategy
•Manage distribution network, transportation and storage from all local SC Johnson / 3rd Party Manufacturing Sites to First Trade Customers (including any exports to MENA).
•Ensure Cold Chain requirements are met and product quality is maintained.
•Manage Co-packing operations / Promotion’s performed at SC Johnson operated/outsourced warehouses
•Ensure the integrity of Material Master and Customer data (for logistics movements and order/invoice processing) within the systems used within the Logistics function
•Act as primary point of contact to Commercial/customers/distributors/LSPs for current inventory availability, physical inventory/batch status, and reconciliation discrepancies
•Closely monitor inventory level at sales stations to minimize stock shortage and collaborate with Demand teams to support inventory optimization processes (Appropriate safety stock level, low shelf life, write off)
•Have full responsibility for compliance with local governmental regulations and maintain excellent relationship local authorities (eg MOH)
•Manage local processes and liaise with LSPs, SC Johnson Regulatory to manage logistics activities for Pack Changes, Discontinuations, first-time new product importation, free samples, clinical trial deliveries, Tender samples etc
•Take ownership for Logistics Service Providers selection via bid process and contractual decisions (rates/service agreement)
•Manage, develop and improve both strategic and operation relationships with external Logistics Service Providers and First Trade Customers.
•Ensure LSP payment process is in place and track spend versus budget in line with Supply Chain P&L management
•Partner with Supply Chain Logistics functions including Move Product to drive continuous improvement for inbounds into the country and leverage central expertise to help close gaps in performance.
•Be globally aligned with other Logistics Managers in the region to ensure best practice is shared and implemented
•Ensure Raw material and packing material supply on time in full according to delivery schedule, from imported and local supplier‘s
•Applying exemption duty from European and Arab origin
•Manage the Logistics team, ensuring that they are delivering their objectives, managing their development, identifying talent for future progression.
•Ensure quality and compliance within warehouse and distribution in line with SC Johnson policies (QA, QMS and SHE standards) regional legislation and industry best practice.
•Tracking and reporting logistics spend and identifying improvements in conjunction with LSPs, Supply Chains, and Sites
•Having depth knowledge of local rules and regulations, Customs and duty’s as well as having a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
•interfaces with and across multiple internal and external business functions, at multiple organization levels,
•Multiple contacts in internal functions including Supply Chain Planning Managers, Regulatory, Finance, IT, QA.
Import & Planning Asst Manager
Duties & responsibility:
•Responsible for integrated supply chain (Demand and Supply Planning, Procurement, /Logistics and Inventory Management) for Domestic Egypt market and Export Markets (GCC, Levant, North Africa and COMESA).
•Develop and manage sourcing strategies of RM and PM (other than oil) budget of 22 million US, manage strategic supplier and logistics partner, enable supplier performance, cost optimization and improve procurement process to ensure business continuity for critical materials/suppliers and business requirements for internal customers are met. Take strategic calls on locking forward prices as per trend and market movements.
•Manage Soft, Hard and Lauric oil pipeline for consumption of 0.3 million MT a year. Source Hard and Lauric oil from Malaysia/Indonesia and Soft Oil from Black Sea Region/Latin America as well as Domestic market crushers/traders.
• Ensure material availability at all times for production. Production stoppages due to unavailability of material needs to be reported on a monthly basis
• Create production plans for both packed items and purchased raw material items:
•Use advanced tools to create a weekly production plan for Convert manufacturing locations and material requirements for suppliers.
-Work with manufacturing locations to properly prioritize production plans.
• Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process:
• Provide necessary reports and analysis needed to enable the S&OP process.
• Reduce lead time by working with Suppliers on maintaining safety stock at supplier, sharing quarterly plan with import suppliers.
• Optimize cost with consideration on transportation cost, clearance cost and commercial terms of payment.
• Supplier evaluation process considering lead time adherence, rejections and documentation.

Duties & responsibility:
•Responsible for all the procurement cycle of including development of the purchase strategy, drafting terms & Conditions, negotiation to ensure fulfillment of the requirement at best conditions ..
•Review Purchase Orders & Related documents for completeness, accuracy & Compliance with corporate policy & Procedures.
•Direct and co-ordinate activities of buying ( Materials, equipment, machinery & Spare parts)
•Ensure Claims are raised for all damages/Losses.
•Review & Approve Vendor & Freight invoices for payment, resolving disputed invoices with accounts payable section & Supplier .
•Establish & Maintain vendor databases and administers assigned
•Achieve cost saving through vendor selection & Review, develop certain agreements.
• Responsible for all importation duties including banking, forwarders, custom clearance
• Perform other duties as the superiors may deem necessary
