Provides technical support, technical expertise, training, validation, research and development and OMS
(Standards, Method and Organization) - Asia Pacific Region and beyond (Australia, China, New
Zealand, New Caledonia, Sri Lanka, Tahiti)
Responsible: Responsible for After Sales technical supports operations for the regional importers. After Sales responsibilities
involve litigation cases, supporting training, validated workshop standards and carried out research and development activities in Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei. I participated in conversion of our commercial
vehicle to construct into ambulance for the local Singapore Civil Defense Forces.
I had attended 'Renault Technical Trainers' course for 3 months at RENAULT Training Centre,
Boulogne-Billancourt in France from February to May 2000.
Responsible: I had trained the highest standards of Renault technicians from the region and beyond.
My first few groups of trainees were the Australian, New Zealanders, ASEAN and thereafter trainees from
Japan, South Africa, China, Korean and Middle East countries. In addition, provided training for other brands like Proton of Malaysia, Suzuki of Japan and Samsung of South Korea. I am specialist in the following
subjects: direct-injection diesel engine, petrol injection engine systems, manual / auto / robotized gearboxes,
HVAC, electrical and electronic systems.
MANAGED TECNICAL AFTER SALES SUPPORT FOR ASIA PACIFIC REGION
• February 2000 to July 2004: Renault Technical Training Executive, Renault Asia Pacific - (based in Singapore)
• July 1996 to January 2000: Equipment Engineer, BP Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd.
Responsible for setting up, testing, servicing and maintenance of engine test facilities, complying with the international industrial standards (examples of standards are ASTM, ACEA JASO and TISI) . Daily tasks
include in-house and third party testing. Engines and motorcycle used were mainly Honda, Yamaha and
Kawasaki brands. Conducted training for thirds' parties on test procedures and standards (examples,
PETRONAS and Thai lube) . I had done few projects assignment in various countries in South East-Asia
regions. These include field trail tests on the concern countries and liaised with local motorcycles OEM.
Countries that I have had been for training and field project assignment were Japan (Yokohama, Tokyo), China
(Shanghai, Chongching and Jinan), Vietnam (Ho Chin Ming), Thailand (Bangkok and Phuket), Indonesia
(Jakarta), Malaysia (Johor, Kuala Lumpur)
• Jun 1996: Withdrawal of an appointment offered by Stuttgart Auto and Trans Eurokars Pte.ltd.
I withdrew the offered made by Stuttgart Auto and Trans Eurokars Pte. Ltd. (Sole distributor for Porsche and
Saab cars in Singapore) for the post of Assistant Workshop Manager due to my personal preferences to serve
BP Asia Pacific as my prospective employer.

I'm responsible of setting up of MG's local after-sales division. Provide technical advises and services for
Rover's and MG's customers. Responsible on the quality, standard on maintenance services, warranty audit and customer's complaint matter. Responsible to train and update technical information's to the technicians and after sales staffs. I'm responsible on daily operation of the workshop with 2 technicians under my care.

• January 1983 to January 1985: I have done my National Service for 2 years.
After my "BPCT" (Basic Police Constable Training) for 3 months. I was attached to the Traffic Police
administrative unit and represented their soccer team till the end of my remaining 21 months there. Thereafter,
I had served the Police's "Force Transport Maintenance Division" whom dealt with maintenance, services and repairs of Police's Vehicles on various brands. After reaching the age of 40 years old, I have been released of
my POLICE reservist duty (twice yearly) by the Singapore Force.

• 2000: COTECH certificate (Diploma level) awarded by Renault SAS (3 months training in France)
• 1998: Certificate in General Engineering.

• 1993: Diploma in Motor Trade Management. • 1987: Graduated and awarded with NTC grade 2 in MVM (Received best apprentice award)
• 1980 - 1982: Undergone 3 years training with VITB in Motor Vehicle Mechanic at Boy's Town Vocational institutes. I graduated with NTC grade 3 MVM.
