Responsibilities:
 I started working for MCG almost on its early beginnings in Sep. 2004. So I was responsible for building the IT infrastructure gradually from a basic LAN initially to a complete data center these days. I am reporting directly to the GM of our company, MCG.
 I am responsible for selecting hardware and software suitable to achieve MCG's goals.
 I am responsible for the development of the policies, procedures and standards for IT systems usage and support.
 I am responsible for IT stuff recruitment, training and performance management.
 I am responsible for managing teams of project managers (PMs), IT consultants, programmers, analysts and sales engineers that are carrying out our company work.
 I am responsible for directing project managers to develop project's requirements, outlines, budgets, and schedules for all MCG's IT projects.
 I am responsible for following PMI standards to manage and oversee all MCG's IT projects; during all phases; through the project life-cycle of initiation, planning, execution and closure.
 I am responsible for providing technical guidance to PMs and development staff; ensuring coherence and integration across development teams.
 I am responsible for receiving project tracking reports and getting report approval from the GM.
 I am responsible for ensuring that a project will be completed within budget and on time.
 I am responsible for authorizing and prioritizing IT non-project development work.
I am communicating and collaborating effectively with other departments' managers.
 I am a member of the committee of total company risk management.
 I am responsible for managing IT vendors and preparing purchasing proposals for GM approval.

Achievements (Accomplishments so far)
 I researched strategies and technology solutions available and then selected the most suitable hardware; including servers, PCs, peripherals, LAN devices; and software, and built up the most cost-effective and efficient IT system to achieve MCG's goals.
 I developed and enforced policies, procedures and standards for IT systems usage and support.
 I handled recruitment, training and IT stuff performance management of MCG's development team members as needed.
 I provided technical guidance to our PMs and development staff; ensuring coherence and integration across development teams.
 I communicated and collaborated effectively with other departments' managers to ensure smooth run of information systems and to carry out system upgrades or to implement new technologies as needed.
 I managed multiple IT vendors and prepared purchasing proposals for GM approval.
 In the field of total company risk management, I assisted with upgrading information security plans and tools.

I Worked for the Arab Open University (AOU), Riyadh Branch, as an AOU-LMS (Learning Management System) Manager and IT courses Instructor in the Computer and Information Technology Department. I have managed the AOU-LMS project during its implementation, application, and support for all AOU students and faculty members. I was also, teaching and/or coordinating many AOU computer courses like TU102, T171, M206, T209, MT262, and T305.
I have implemented all the above courses using the AOU-LMS which was based on Moodle LMS and supervised all the system operations and support requirements.

IT Manager at InfoTech Computers (ITC)

I was reporting directly to the GM of ITC (InfoTech Computers) company. I started working for ITC directly after leaving the governmental sector on May 1996. I was responsible for building the IT infrastructure gradually from a basic LAN initially to a complete IT department. I selected the most suitable hardware; including servers, PCs, peripherals, LAN devices; and software and built the most cost-effective and efficient system to achieve ITC's goals.

My duties included managing and directing all software and hardware projects of the company. I was managing teams of engineering consultants, programmers, and analysts doing the analysis, design, proposal, and managing the implementation and installation of a lot of private and governmental hardware and software projects (a project regularly includes: Servers, PCs, networks, O.S.s, and application software).
Besides that, I was responsible for planning, preparing and managing all the short course training projects on software packages and application software that were made and/or installed for ITC customers.

Some of ITC customers were: Al-Khaleej Al-Arabi Cons. Co., Information Systems Institute, Hayaat Al-Riyadh, Al-Oloom Schools, and many others.

Computer Consultant & IT Courses Trainer at General Auditing Bureau, GAB

I worked as a Computer Consultant as well as a Supervisor of installation and support for the Computer and information Networks of Mac.s and PC.s in the GAB's Head Office. Also, I trained many GAB employees on diverse computer and network applications like: Basics of using Windows and Mac computers, WordPerfect, Lotus 123, Word, Excel, Using Online Databases like LEXIS/NEXIS and CompuServe, ...etc. I have done many consultation, cost estimate, and proposal studies for the purpose of transformation from a legacy mainframe system to a new open system environment with LANs, Servers, and PC workstations. I got proposals and quotes from multiple IT vendors to carry out the new environment and prepared my cost estimates and proposals based on them. After my proposals for shifting to a new open system environment were adopted by the GAB's Canadian consultant and its implementation was started, I received a letter of appreciation from the GAB's Head.
