• 2006-2009: Nurse in Intensive Care Unit, Hama National Hospital.
Duties: medicine administration, intubating the patients in urgent cases, performing cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, performing electrocardiogram, monitoring the cardiac patients for any signs of infarction, and my favorite skill was cannulizing the most difficult veins. Three years of success in the light of thousands of critical exams greatly enhanced my skills and experiences.
Surgical Assistant in Heart Surgery Operation Room, Almouasat Hospital.
Duties: sterilizing the operation room, instruments, tools, clothes and preparing it before the operation, preparing the patients and giving them all the instructions about: dressing, shaving, fasting, and medication. Observing the vital signs before, during, and after the operation. Assessing the first surgical assistant in providing the surgeon with the required instruments during operation, keeping a sterilized environment around the surgical team
• 2004-2006: Nurse in Heart Surgery Ward, Tishrin Military Hospital.
Duties: observing the vital signs of patients after cardiac operation, taking care of the chest wound, and organizing a schedule for physical activities after passing the critical time of operation.
• 2009-2011: Post RN from Aga Khan University, Karachi, Pakistan. Contains all the following courses: SC 431 Life Sciences, NU 361 Teaching and Learning: Principles and Practices, NU 346 Health Assessment, HU 328 Culture Health and Society, SC 432 Pathophysiology, SC 333 Introduction to Biostatistics, NU 348 Advanced Concepts in Adult Health Nursing, EN 415 English, SC 433 Nursing Research, NU 493 Advanced Concepts in Mental Health Nursing, NU 493 advance concepts in community health nursing, NU453 Prof. Development and Leadership in Healthcare, EN 416 English, NU-444 senior Elective and HU 414 English.
• 2009 (January 4th_ July 2): Certificate in English Enrichment Course for Nurses-Damascus, Syria. This course was taught in English language and aimed to enhance basic skills in the English language like grammar, writing, reading and fundamental Nursing concepts such as nursing expressions in English and practicing N-Clex exam The course lasted for six months and included three exams. Successful completion of this course allowed me to continue my higher education at Aga Khan University.
• 2008 (June1th -5th): Certificate in Advance Truman Life Support (ATLS) -Hama National Hospital Ministry of Health, Syria. In this program I learnt the basic steps in order to save the human life especially in road accidents and how to keep the victims in the best position or situation till they reach the closest hospital.
• 2000-2003: Diploma in Nursing School- Hama, Syria. This program included many courses: Nursing fundamentals, Surgical Internal Nursing, Pathophysiology, Anatomy, management, scientific research, Arabic, English and clinical practice.
• November17th 2008- January6th 2009: Certificate in enrichment program at Aga Khan University-School of Nursing. This course included 30 hours of mathematics, 20 hours of science, and 72 hours of English at a pre-intermediate level. The purpose of this course was to inculcate the basic required knowledge for joining post RN program.
