Duties and responsibilities
Review of structural design drawings and calculation of the project phases (Concept Design CD, Schematic Design SD and
Detailed Design DD in addition to Issue for construction IFC)
- It’s mainly including reviewing load determination, stress analysis, structural concrete design using computational
software design tools and hand calculations as appropriate with reference to Saudi Building Codes (SBC), American Concrete Institute (ACI) Codes and Steel Construction Manual of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) and Saudi Building Codes (SBC),
- Coordinate structural design with other engineering disciplines,
- Ensure compliance with Project Design Criteria/Client Brief/Approved Concept,
- Attend and participate in design and coordination meetings.
- Develop and assess alternative solutions for complex designs, eliminating increased costs while improving function and
quality, allowing for maximum benefits to our client

Duties and responsibilities
- Review of structural design and site supervision, the tasks mainly involve load determination, stress analysis, structural concrete design using computational software design tools and hand calculations as appropriate with reference to Standards (UBC), American Concrete Institute (ACI) Codes and Steel Construction Manual of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) and Saudi Building Codes (SBC),
- Coordinate structural design with other engineering disciplines,
-In touch with construction team giving technical solution for construction issues,
- Develop the scope of work for the civil and structural construction Contracts. Provide technical support during bidding
process and construction.
- Ensure compliance with Project Design Criteria/Client Brief/Approved Concept,
- Attend and participate in design and coordination meetings.
- Involvement with proposals for future work such as estimating man hours and quantities for construction costs.
- Develop and assess alternative solutions for complex designs, eliminating increased costs while improving function and
quality, allowing for maximum benefits to our client
- Assisting with hiring, mentoring and training of junior engineers
- Liaise with other discipline leads, project managers, vendors, contractors and clients to facilitate smooth flow of
information for use in preparing preliminary and detailed design and provide design clarifications and solutions during
construction
- Prepare purchase requisition, review technical content of supplier bids and technical submissions
- Perform any required inspections as necessary for procurement of material.
- Monitor project schedule and budgets within structural area of responsibility and report status on a regular basis

- Prepare work scope documents and technical specifications.
- Evaluate supplier bids for compliance to internal & client specifications and scopes of work. Provide technical evaluation of supplier bids and present to project management.
- Support the estimating and proposals teams by preparing preliminary designs, technical write-ups and specifications for cost estimating purposes.
