- Gracefully shutdown and reopened the Hotel affect 7 months of renovation. Among ELV projects I proposed and managed during the renovation were:
o Upgraded the guest HSIA network infrastructure that included changing the gateway and obsolete active devices to achieve a more scalable network.
o Restructured the PaBX architecture, this included changing of all MDFs and IDF. The upgrade has driven down fault calls on the PaBX by more than 90%
o Expanded the IP Fire Alarm System to areas not previously covered and corrected mismatches previously on the system.
o Relocated the hotel’s Business Centre to location better accessible to guests and implemented a better managed structure for the outlet.
o Changed the passive data network back fiber network from just pig tail cables to high density riser rated armored cables
o Formally uncovered blind spots on the Hotel’s CCTV were covered.
- Project managed the upgrade of the Hotel’s Fire Alarm System to Securiton within deadline to a $35, 000 budget
- Co-ordinated the successful rollout of email system upgrades to Microsoft Outlook 365 in the Business Unit
- Reduced fixed cost in the department by hiring new staff members based on temporary engagement (Contract).
- Initiated and managed hotel’s entertainment system to IP based to a $53, 000 budget
- Proposed and managed Opera PMS upgrade and passport scanner introduction with a minimal downtime
- Introduced Online Technical Support management System leading to better managed support services
- Implemented a Business Continuity plan which was rolled out across the global by Carlson Rezidor Corporate IT
• Contacted, interfaced, and managed contractors working on the many technical/Information Technology related projects during the pre-opening period of the hotel and after
• Commissioned and managed Securiton Fire Alarm System
• Designed wireless network for in -house Guests and walk-in Guests for internet connectivity
• Supervised and monitored wired IP network infrastructure work both in guest and administrative areas
• Managing and Monitoring of Domain Controller for Hotel staff members
• Extensive due diligence on internet WIFI Hotspot and hotspot biller
• Training and supporting Hotel staff members on use of Phone console (PABx), the Micros Application Suite for Hotels and handling of electronics devices such as the Audio system, Digital Projector training, Micros Cashier machine etc as contained in the Rezidor Hotel Group Standard Operating Procedure SOP
• Created and Implemented some IT set policy as define by the Rezidor Hotels Group
