Organisation and acquisition of offshore and onshore borehole seismic surveys, processing data and presenting geological findings to the customer. Due to my background in electronics I was also involved in the upgrading of field panels. On one occasion for example, I built the digital radio distribution systems that were used to transfer data back from a remote location to the recording unit. During my time with CGG I acquired surveys in most of the countries on the Asian sub continent plus Europe and Africa.
I completed an honours degree in Electronics Engineering from the university of Greenwich in London. This particular University is recognised as having one of the best technical curricula available. I completed the degree in 3 years and included a "year in industry" year from which I gained a diploma in industrial studies. My Year in Industry was spent at Raychem, a polymer technology with it's UK base in Swindon UK. My grade average for modules studied throughout the 3 years was 80% (I received on average a score of 80% for my modular examinations) My degree result was 2:1 - An upper second class honours award.
