My role as a managing partner is to supervise marketing activities that include brand promotion and development in order to increase product awareness, customer loyalty and competitiveness. Building market insight through market research and market survey.
Other daily operations include procurement and warehousing, staff management, in addition to customer service through revising notes and comments leading to a better level of customer satisfaction.
Responsible for conducting and supervising both quantitative and qualitative research within the corporate strategy unit.
Key responsibilities include:
• Proposing the method of conducting the research or the study required depending on (budget, required staff……etc) in order to ensure providing the company with the most reliable and sufficient results.
• Supervising and conducting research studies to include preparing the questionnaire, field work, data check and integrity.
• Providing analysis and recommendation to the concerned party in order to assist them in having a better and more comprehensive view.
• Requesting studies to be conducted by specialized recognized international marketing research companies, monitoring and following up with the implementation of the study.
• Presenting results and recommendation of studies to the higher management or concerned party so as to give them a focused view and help them understand the results.
• Participating in projects and committees as a market advisor as to reflect an immediate responses and feedback on the requirements as to utilize efforts and time.
Scanning and analyzing the market in order to plan for future offers, products, prices and services. Research competitor activities and recommend counter actions. Perform surveys and projects to get customer attitude and behavior, aiding in further enhancing the service and promoting it.
The market research duties included the following tasks:
•In charge of all market intelligence and research activities in the marketing division.
•Benchmarking the company's performance with other regional and international mobile operators
•Researching and analyzing the company's markets, competition, product mix, market segmentation and financial reports.
•Analyzing the competitive environment, as well as future marketing trends, and making appropriate recommendations using sales and marketing data.
•Conducting market surveys, summarizing results, and assisting in the preparation, presentation, and follow up of research proposals.
•Preparing research reports for presentation to both upper management and Sales & Marketing staff.
In addition to research, I was responsible for other projects that include:
International Retail Rates: Monitoring, adjusting, and grouping the company's retail international prices against other offers in the market, in order to promote new special rates and destinations during official and seasonal occasions.
Roaming Cost Analysis: This project aimed at reducing roaming costs and shifting roaming partners on a traffic usage basis instead of a fixed monthly cost. The new cost was calculated according to the company's outgoing traffic.
Sectors Analysis Project: This project helped in increasing XPress’ penetration rate in the Jordanian market by creating a database for the local corporate market and benchmarking the company's performance and penetration rate on a monthly basis .
I was responsible for covering and analyzing the Media and Telecom Markets in the Arab countries, conducting and planning research reports and surveys, in addition to assisting in projects on other Arab countries’ communications markets and trends.
