• Check and verify shipping records, handle concerns of shipping and address problems with Management.
• Oversee receiving and shipping operations on daily basis.
• Organize to service each business division while maintaining and improving overall operational and departmental efficiencies
• Act as logistics facilitator to ensure that all elements of the domestic and international distribution process are coordinated to meet customer requirements in a timely and high quality.
• Supervise freight flow processes and maintain stock areas.
• Ensure on-time delivery of orders.
• Ensure that team follows company policies and standards and adherence to all appropriate health and safety regulations
• Provide freight updates to Management on regular basis.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns regarding order deliveries in a timely fashion.
• Coordinating drivers, vehicles, loads and journeys
• Implementing health and safety standards
• Responsible for all matters relating to the efficient and safe utilization of terminal facilities, equipment and operations manpower to achieve container throughput as efficiently as possible
• Lead and motivate the logistics Team to ensure levels of service meet or exceed customers’ expectations and that all departments have a focus on continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and liaise with Local Authorities in this respect as required
• Liaise with the senior management of Shipping Lines and their Agents to understand their requirements and work closely with them to serve their needs.
• Continually review, plan and implement operational strategies to ensure that the Terminal develops and grows profitably
• Responsible for achieving all budget requirements and recommending investments
• Oversee transportation department, including its assets and employees.
• Manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
• Ensure customer goods move from production through the supply chain to the end user.
• Supervise air and ocean global warehousing, transportation, reverse logistics, surface transportation and supply chain solutions.
• Establish quality transportation services.
• Utilize services of less-than-truckload carriers to handle fulfillments.
• Supervise scheduling of Movements of Trailers
• Lead all distribution and transportation planning and strategic activities.
• Motivate, coach, and transport drivers.
Qualified ACCA (F1-P2) in First attempt. Opted optional papers are, P4( Advance Financial Management) & P7(Advanced Audit and Assurance).
Awarded by ACCA on passing Fundamental Level papers (F1 to F9) and completing ACCA’s online Foundation in Professionalism module
