As a member of SDI Project Delivery team I was part of a Westpac Wesbsphere Refresh program, to refresh and (where applicable) re-platform the Java middleware fleet. The aim of the program was to simplify the migration to a supported target reference architecture called “sparrow”.

My responsibilities were:
• Responsible for submitting a successful business case to acquire funding for Enterprise websphere refresh
projects from steering committee. \[Budget 8.0m\]
• Identifying and assessing the project scope and project estimation.
• Managing Risks, Issues and monitor them regularly and also establish mitigation plans.
• Managing the project delivery (planning, reporting, resourcing, on time, within budget) conforming to the
Westpac corporation project framework PEFM and technology framework SELC.
• Oversee the integration, and delivery of solution components from IT delivery teams, vendors, infrastructure
and 3rd party suppliers whilst managing and developing mitigating strategies for any dependencies.
• Developed project plans for management of scope, cost, and time.
• Manage the program financials of around $19.5M by creating the governance structure and monitoring
monthly spend against the forecast and ensure the project is on budget and on time.

Key Projects:
1. CPP Refresh Project: - This project is a strategic project of Websphere Portal 6.0 migration to Westpac
reference architecture. (Project Budget $3.41M)
2. SPP Consolidation: - This project is a migration of EJB’s from zJods websphere version to a standalone
Websphere version. This project is performed to save cost of around 2.3 Million dollar per year. (Budget
$1.5m)
3. Image Voucher Upgrade:- This project is a strategic project of Websphere Application upgrade to Westpac
reference architecture. (Planned to be completed Jan 2015, Budget $1.2M)
4. CIS Browser Upgrade:- This project is a strategic project of Websphere Application upgrade to Westpac
reference architecture. (Planned to be completed Sep 2014, Budget $1.1M)

The Client is one of the distributors of electricity and gas network in Victoria. Currently I am working on a Smart Meter roll out project which is a mandated project by Victorian Government.

Adnan’s role for the engagement was:

- Test Environment management, release planning and co-ordination with multiple stakeholders to fulfil their requirements to complete the delivery of the project on time and on budget.
- Create and maintain the test environment management plan according to the test requirements and project delivery
- Help in developing the release management process for the client.
- Manage the risk and issues of environment and release and making sure they are resolved accordingly.
- Track the defects and made sure they are deployed in all the environments.
- Provide technical leadership to the test team for resolution of the environmental and release issues.
- Co-ordinate with different stakeholders in identifying the problems and their resolution.

Adnan’s role for the engagement was:

- Develop and Manage project proposals, project schedule, cost estimation, monitoring and controlling and resource allocation for various phases of project lifecycle
- Provide Architectural leadership spanning all stacks and tiers from Mainframe, through midrange and Wintel to crossing SOA and middleware components.
- Technical design of test environments so that they can be used according to production specification.
- Established, developed and implemented test environment governance and approvals
- Design the process of configuration and asset management team for Westpac enterprise release teams.
- Design and developed the Configuration Management and Asset Management capability for the test environment artefacts.
- Develop design and implement processes using ITIL methodologies for test environments.
- Delivery of Environment into BAU within its scope, time, cost and quality.
