As an Assistant Manager reporting directly to the Director of Financial Affairs, My primary duties include working on the financial projection analysis for our clients, assisting in everyday accounting and finance activities, as well as creating and maintaining a number of analysis tools for Vanguard as well as its clients.

The financial projection analysis mainly consists of creating financial statements from given data, either using benchmark organizations or actual data, and creating projections based on it. This is part of the advisory service that Vanguard provides to its clients.

Apart from my primary duties, I also assist in the everyday accounting responsibilities such maintaining the account books as well as take on operational issues for Vanguard as well as the spun-off ventures.

Within the first few weeks, I was able to clearly grasp the everyday workings of the business as well as taking the responsibility for creating financials for a number of ongoing projects.

As a GA for two professors for the introductory management course, I was required to handle everything related to the class apart from the actual teaching. My main responsibilities included handling attendance, making assignments, correcting assignments, correcting exams and assist in the overall classroom operations.

One of the professors that I was assigned to is the Dean of Management School in NYIT Bahrain.

Apart from my main responsibilities, I was also required to assist any student from the class with all the issues relating to management.

Within the first month, all the students were dealing with me directly with regards to all issue relating to the class.

As an intern, I was required to learn the daily financial activities of the bank. Not only did I learn those activities, I was given responsibility for producing many of those reports as well. These included daily updating of the financial trends of various sorts, providing client-wise financial analysis to the Transaction Banking Department to aid in decision making, and attend to regular requests of various financial reports and analysis.

Apart from my daily activities, I also created month-end reports which were submitted to higher management for critical decision-making which included reconciliation projects, and client-wise revenue analysis for all corporate clients.

Achievement: Successful delivery of the campaign analysis reports to the Transaction Banking Department.
