Support for High Available 24x7 Databases
Migrated 24*7 production oracle 9i RAC database from HP-UX to new IBM AIX 5.3 with oracle 9i RAC including physical standby database (storage EMC CX 700 to DS8100) and 3 cascaded replicated sites with a minimal downtime using Golden gate.
Involved new hardware and storage tender preparation and selection of hardware.
Installed Oracle 9i (RAC) software on IBM AIX 5.3 with HACMP & converted 24*7 production single instance database to 9iRAC with minimal downtime of 15 minutes(IBM P520 and DS4600 SAN)
Upgraded production database from 9.2.0.4 to 9.2.0.8
Migrated production database’s storage from EMC CX600 to CX700 with the minimal downtime.
Implementing high availability by configuring Data guard, RMAN, Replication, etc.
Configured physical standby Database at recovery site for disaster recovery and high availability.
Installed Oracle Enterprise manager (OEM) and configured enterprise manager repository, created jobs and alerts, configured OEM events with the SNMPT server to send the traps.
