IT Operation Specialist II, in ARASCO, IT department, Network unit, acting as level 2 network engineer and Project Manager for network unit.
The responsibilities as a network engineer:
•Managing and creating policies firewall model Cisco ASA ASA5585-SSP-40.
•Handling and generating reports from Fortinet firewall FG 1000C then analyze it after that raise it to the team leader.
•Monitoring and redesigning the policies in Bluecoat Paketshaper 7500.
•Monitor Bluecoat WAN optimization MACH5 900 and MACH5 600.
•Using Solar Winds software to monitor WAN links and generating reports.
•Trouble shooting with other units in IT department (systems, application) either in solving operation tickets or implementation problems.
The responsibilities As a Project Manager:
•MEFSCO (Middle East Food Solutions Company) new office building IT infrastructure:
the project is to prepare an IT infrastructure for new office building and connect it to ARASCO network so all users can utilize all the services from HQ data-center, and build an efficient network to be as a distribution point for further buildings and factories in same area, the project contains several parts:
1.Active part: studying solutions with the vendor and choose the best one( considering the future scalability, high availability, and reliability), designing Layer3 and Layer2 switches, implementing the best Hardware type and model for it, do any changes in the network to fit the project needs.
2.Passive part: all the process from faceplates to the cabinet.
3.Low current: designing and implementing CCTV IP cameras, wireless APs, Access Controllers.
4.AV(Audio Video) systems for Meeting rooms.
5.Civil Work: connecting the patch-room in the new building to the main Datacenter by fiber.
6.Choosing UBS size.
•Optimizing AlEmar IT infrastructure: AlEmar need to connect 11 branches to the HQ Data-center, and to optimize all the IT equipment they need, the project is consist of :
1.WAN connection: connecting the branches to the Datacenter.
2.LAN preparation: Designing and preparing the sites with IT infrastructure (Active part and Passive).
3.Knowledge transfer employees how to utilize the services.
4.Replace all old PCs and printers to new PCs and printers.
5.Following up with any change or request in the IT regarding this project.
•MEFSCO Dubai Office: build IT infrastructure for a new sales branch office for MEFSCO in Dubai, also connect it to the HQ via VPN solution, the project consist of:
1.Active Part: installing a Firewall, Switch, IP phones.
2.Passive part: install the network points, patch panels, cabinet and pull cables.
3.Low Current: install CCTV system and AC system.
4.Install phone billing system software; also install VPN client software for each user to communicate with HQ in Riyadh.
•Automation Solution for ARASCO new building: ARASCO have a new building under construction, and the project is to install a smart solutions in three areas or segments in the building :
1.Multipurpose meeting rooms: ARASCO want to have 7 meeting rooms with smart solutions (wi-present, controllers, projection screens, dimmer lighting, reservation system, Somfy, control touch screen, podium, multi room amplifier, Audio Matrix, Video Matrix).
2.Manager rooms: there are 13 manager rooms all of them need to be smart.
3.Theater.
4.Training rooms: 2 training rooms.
•CCTV and Wireless for new Hatchery: ARASCO had a new Hatchery site located in Harad, the objective is to cover all the area (almost 800m x 800m) with voice wireless and the borders by IP cameras for security proposes.
•IDAC new Lab IT infra-structure: ARASCO have istableshed a new sensory lab for female, and they need infra-structure for the new section:
1. Passive.
2. Active(Wifi, switching, Routing, WAN link)
3. Low current systems (CCTV, AC system)
4. Smart solution for the meeting room.
