• Responsible to provide new product & emerging business; including analysis of current situation & market trends on products & business, development of action plans, monitoring of new opportunities
• Responsible to build & maintain relationship with all Axiata Group Operating Companies (OpCos) & liaise all respective requirements related to products & emerging business
Scopes:-
• To enable new product & emerging business growth & enabling enterprise portfolio
• To build & maintain relationship with external partners related to new product and emerging business (including negotiation of contract terms)
• Assist operational viability of any potential product & emerging business whilst liaising with KAM on commercial viability
• Support assessment & feasibility study of the product roadmap on common product portfolio, product (i.e. Mobile Services, IP, Security (including local peering & content strategy)
• To continuously improve new product & emerging biz
• Identify & capitalize on synergy opportunities between OpCos by understanding the requirements & capabilities
• Assess commercial & operational viability of potential contracts pertaining to new product & emerging business
• Provide progress update, gaps & action plans
• Align with other functions within group for smooth implementation of initiatives

• Axiata International Hub
 Facilitate Axiata Group OPCOs feasibility study and trial. Management buy in and business development viability study on the new product. Highly responsible for project development planning, implementation and coordination among the OPCOs
• Spice (India) International Long Distance (ILD) and National Long Distance (NLD) network set up.
 Evaluated tender specification for Next Generation Network (NGN), Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), and Voice over IP (VOIP) and legacy TDM International Private Leased Circuit (IPLC).
 Successfully launched the ILD and NLD services and became one of the ILD/NLD operator in India thus generate new revenue to the group income.
• Axiata Group IT network set up.
 Network planning and evaluation and tender evaluation.
 Successful set up and launched new IT infrastructure for the new Axiata Group office.
• VAS feasibility study and trial set up of Dynamic Discount Solution

• Telekom Malaysia (TM) CDMA, Fixed Wireless Core Network
 Plan, design and managed overall project of CDMA 1X core network and OSS
 The network elements consist of Cisco, UNIX servers, NMS
 Managed the project successfully and launched the network throughout Malaysia

• TM Broadband Fixed Wireless Access (BFWA- Pre Wimax) network development.
 Plan, design and managed overall project of BFWA network. The network elements consist of equipment from Harris, Vyio and Alcatel.
 Interconnect the elements to existing Telekom Malaysia internet elements such as BRAS, COINS and internet gateways. The project also includes setting up OSS such as provisioning and monitoring systems. Assist business development and network operation group to finalising the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
 Interface with customers on the network designs and equipment configurations for core systems optimization.
 Develop project plan to justify costs involved for the turnkey projects, commercially and technically.
 Foster solid relationship with customers and business partners at all management levels and acted as a single contact point for customers’ requirements and problem escalations
 Managed the project successfully and launched the network throughout Malaysia.

• TM Wimax Trial.
 Conducted proof of concept (POC) trial for Wimax Network elements on selected customers throughout Malaysia. Among the vendors participate were Alcatel, Samsung (WiBro) and ZTE.
 Managed the trial successfully and advised TM top management for next step to be taken based on the trial results.
