Job Responsibilities:
- Lead enterprise IT projects and products, as well as evaluate, develop, revamp and implement existing systems.
- Conduct R&D activities for new technology opportunities and Provide analysis of their potential impact to business.
- Develop custom tools with scripting languages, and Create or implement custom systems that use automated configurations.
- Ensure appropriate implementation of technology within both the development and production environments.
- Perform engineering and design functions for servers; oversee the introduction of new technology by utilizing industry standard processes.
- Work with IT and business teams to identify technology solutions to achieve business results.
- Provide IT based technical support to business and clients.
- Acts as the escalation point for IT Engineer .
- Provide on call support during off hours and weekends.

Job Description:
- Propose and perform installation, customization and maintenance of the operating system, server hardware and software products in HP UX environment in order to support business processing requirements and to improve the performance and reliability of the servers.
- Administer, monitor, maintain and fine tune the high-end HP servers and EMC VNX Series storage in order to achieve optimum performance levels
- Provide support on incidents pertaining to Oracle performance due to hardware resource constraints and oracle printing in order to comply with the set SLA
- Perform system and database backup, disaster recovery procedures and direct recovery operations for data centre and business locations in order to comply with Group IT policy
- Provide back-up support for Oracle database administration functions in order to attend to the business needs in timely manner
- Participate in the planning phase for system requirements on various projects for deployment of business functions in order to scope out the activities on HP UX servers
- Participate in the capacity planning and design of the new implementations involving SAN configurations.
