Sr. Condition Monitoring Engineer, at Egyptian Propylene and Polypropylene Company (EPPC), Located on Industrial Area of Port Said, Egypt.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor and Study Parameters and Performance of Critical and Major Rotating Equipment “Steam Turbines, Gas Compressors, Gas Expanders, and Critical Pumps and Blowers”.
• Support Plant Operations and Maintenance Crew on their Tasks Related Rotating Equipment.
• Apply Condition Monitoring Different Techniques “Vibration Analysis, Thermograph, and Oil Analysis” to Survey Equipment Performance, or Troubleshoot any Failures.
• Create and Maintain Databases for Machinery Vibration Analysis Program.
• Apply Machinery Vibration Analysis and Supply Nominated Department with Suggested Proactive or Predictive Activities.
• Optimize PMs and Maintenance Plan using CMMS, to Achieve Best Practice Maintenance, to Keep the Plant in High Availability and Reliability.
• Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis and Recommend Corrective Actions to avoid any Catastrophic or Repeated Failures.
• Plan, Execute and Witness Major Rotating Equipment Inspections and Overhauls based on Planned or Unplanned Maintenance Activities.
• Develop and Support Procedures for Rotating Equipment Repair and Overhaul Guidelines.
• Participate in Capital Project Review, and ensure that all New and Existing Rotating Equipment Installations and Maintenance Activities Completed in Accordance with Applicable Standards.
• Assist in the provision and management of the Two Years Spares and Capital Spares for Critical Rotating Equipment.
• Assist in Managing Resources (Manpower, Tools and Equipment) to Keep the Plant in High Availability.
• Lead and Train Young Engineers to Lead Maintenance Crew During Their Jobs.
Main Achievements:
• Gathered All Required Data and Created Vibration Data Bases for Two Different Vibration Monitoring Asset Route Managers “SKF Microlog” and “Bruel & Kjaer 3.5”.
• March & April 2020:
Accountable for Major and Minor Overhauls of Critical Nine Rotating Equipment during Plant Turnaround, as the Following:
Major Overhauls for GE Roto-Flow Integrally Gear HP and LP High Speed Turbo-Expander and Its’ Generator.
Minor Overhaul for two Ingersoll Rand Air Process Integrally Gear 4 Stages High Speed Compressors and Their Inter-Stage Coolers.
Major Overhauls for Six Main Critical Centrifugal “Over-Hang and Between Bearings” Air Blowers.
July 2014 Till Jan. 2019:
Rotating Equipment Engineer, Egypt Hydrocarbon Corporation (EHC), Nitric Acid / Low Density Ammonium Nitrate Plant, UHDA Engineering, Located on Industrial Area of Western North of Suez Gulf, Suez, Egypt.
Responsibilities:
• Studying Daily Operation Condition to keep Up-to-Date Knowledge about all Rotating Machinery.
• Carrying out Troubleshooting of all Machinery Problems, and Recommending Corrective Actions to rectify Problems.
• Planning all Resources Required to ensure that Spare Parts and Manpower are Available to Keep the Plant in High Availability.
• Planning, Scheduling, Organizing and Executing Preventive, Corrective, Predictive and Improvement Maintenance Activities, to Achieve the Maintenance Plan. and Major Overhauls and Minor Inspections of Major Machinery as per "Mechanical Services Minor Shutdown Schedules".
• Assisting Condition Monitoring Section in their Survey “Measuring and Analyzing Vibration, Thermograph, Or Lubrication Activities”.
• Identifying Problem Weakness or Deficiencies and Implementing Root Cause Analysis in the Management of Business of Rotating Equipment Such as Spare Parts Issues, Training Requirements, Quality, Safety and Productivity Issues.
• Providing Technical Advice Whenever Required to Area Supervisors and Subordinate Supervisors on the Repair of all Rotating Equipment, or Procurement Department, on Spare Parts Issues Relating to all Rotating Machinery.
• Ensuring all Overhauling Reports/Recommendations from Vendors and Work Order for Rotating Machinery including the Major Machines and Probable Cause of Failure to facilitate Effective Analysis, for Development of KPIs and Maintaining the Plant in High Reliability.
Main Achievements:
• Participated in the SATs Following Up for Man-Turbo Train and Siemens Steam Turbine (Surge Detection, Over Speed, and Trip Tests).
• Gained a very good Experience from Inspection of Rotating Equipment during Construction, Commissioning, and Start up Phases.
• March 2015: Attended a Complete Overhaul for Centrifugal Compressor “Horizontal Type” Due to a Catastrophic Failure during Commissioning Phase, Under Vendor Supervision.
• April 2015: Attended a Complete Overhaul for Man-Turbo Turbo-Expander due to Damage in Inlet Guide Vane Rod, Under Vendor Supervision.
• October 2015: Attended a Major Overhaul of Man-Turbo Nitric Acid Turbo Set on Abu Qir Fertilizer Company at Alexandria, Egypt. as the Following:
Major Overhaul for Air Axial Compressor.
Major Overhaul for Nitric Oxides Centrifugal Compressor.
Major Overhaul for Steam Turbine.
Minor Overhaul for Flow Gas Turbo Expander.
Responsibilities:
• Service and Maintaining Rotating Equipment such as Steam Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors, and Pumps according to Maintenance Plans.
• Daily, Monthly, and Annually Check and Monitoring the Equipment Conditions, according to Equipment Manuals, and Standards.
• Vibration Measurements (Casing, and Bently Nevada), and Monitoring Changes for all Major Turbo Machines, and Auxiliaries.
• Prepare for Turnarounds, and other Special Activities.
• Manage Spare Parts and Special Tools Inventory Physically, and by MAXIMO.
• Motivate and Lead the Maintenance Crew to achieve the Maintenance Plans Well.

• April 2014:
Participated in a Minor Overhaul for two Nuovo Pignone Centrifugal Compressors parallel type due to a problem in the sealing system.
Participated in a Minor Overhaul for a Centrifugal Pump.
• August 2012:
Made a Complete Overhaul for two Nuovo Pignone Centrifugal Compressors horizontal and parallel types after a catastrophic failure for the parallel one.
• July 2012:
Made a Complete Overhaul for Man-Turbo Centrifugal Compressor integrally gear compressor type due to catastrophic failure in the Dry Gas Seals.
Assisted to finish a Complete Overhaul for Man-Turbo Centrifugal Compressor horizontal type.
• June 2012:
Made a Minor Overhaul for two Siemens Condensing and Extraction Steam Turbines.
Made a Minor Overhaul for two Nuovo Pignone Centrifugal Compressors horizontal and parallel types.
Made a Complete Overhaul for a Flinder-Graffenst Aden Gearbox coupled between Steam Turbine and a Generator.
• Oct. 2010:
Assistant Team Leader in a Complete Overhaul for a Siemens Steam Turbine, and its’ auxiliaries.
Assistant Team Leader in Minor Overhaul for a Nuovo Pignone Centrifugal Compressor parallel type, and its’ auxiliaries.
• Made a lot of Complete and Minor Overhauls for Centrifugal Pumps, and Heat Exchangers.
• Re-organizing the Spare Parts on the Inventory.
• Training the Technicians on the Vibration Principles.
• Vibration Analysis Assistant.
Responsibilities:
• Receipt and distribution the processes on the production lines, then overall supervision of the production process until the completion of manufacturing according to the standard required.
