Act as a business partner to the Chief Executive Officer, business lines and functions. Oversee and direct financial control, tax management, risk management and management reporting and analysis functions. Establish financial policies in coordination with the regional function and ensures adherence to internal and external policies, procedures and regulations. Provide guidance and expertise which serves to contribute to effective decision-making, to achieve financial goals as set in a sustainable and compliant manner.
In line with the strategy of the HSBC Group to exploit its capital in the most effective manner by focusing on businesses best placed to capture commercial and capital flows thereby maximising returns for investors, the Group decided to sell its operations in Jordan.
With the high dependency on the Finance function, I led the finance team to ensure that the whole process is completed efficiently and successfully.

Lead the financial reporting team responsible for the Group reporting on IFRS basis. Oversee and direct the regulatory reporting to the local regulator according to Basel 1 rules and to the Group according to Basel 2.
