Job Summary:
Mainly providing 1st and 2nd Line Technical support to 1, 500 End-users. Occasionally providing 3rd line support to the site infrastructure. The End-user support covers IT Client Hardware, IT Client Operating Systems, Desktop Applications, E-mail, Software, Intranet applications and Corporate Information Systems.
Maintain contacts with all levels in Company in the provision of IT Services, local/international vendors, consultants to facilitate quality and cost-effective service delivery.
Main Accountabilities:
☑ Analyze and resolve end-user problems as 1st line support and 2nd line support and follow up necessary corrective actions.
☑ Participate in developing plans to upgrade operating systems and associated Office Automation software.
☑ Participate in developing Desktop Support End-user hardware acquisition plans.
☑ Administer the identity management for services like email, users and group domains and email accounts, share permissions, print server, active directory and security to ensure that information and facilities can be accessed only by approved personnel.
☑ Identify and agree scheduling priorities for resolving system problems, minimizing any impact on business operations.
☑ Ensure the deployment of PCs, Laptops, Network and Standalone Printers and other IT Client Hardware.
☑ Ensure the upgrade of Client Operating Systems and Desktop Applications.
☑ Carry out troubleshooting tasks to resolve IT Client related problems on hardware, operating systems, Desktop Applications.
☑ Analyze/ resolve Service and Change Requests and handing them with the SLA.
☑ Ensure minimum downtime of IT Desktop hardware failures which have been escalated to external IT Vendors / Contractors through effective follow up.
☑ Prepare various IT reports and documentation.
☑ Support Citrix VDI users.
☑ Collect and review the input of Site departments regarding their IT requirements for budget preparation.
☑ Manage site print and file servers.
☑ Monitor the site Security through Antivirus and NAC consoles and take necessary actions regarding infected or blocked machines.
☑ Prepare and deploy system images. (SCCM, Acronis)
☑ Install and Configure special and complicated applications
☑ Support the installation and rollout of new Technologies and applications.
☑ Give on-job training for new joinees and interns/students from HCT college.
☑ Lead and Participate very actively in almost all of IT Operations Section's projects
