Assist in managing & supervising all construction activities of the EPC contractor (NPCC), on behalf of the client (ADMA-OPCO) to comply with ADNOC and ADMA-OPCO project-specific requirements such as SOW, project specifications, inspection procedures, checklists & ITPs.
Review project (PEP, MOS, PQP, ITP, WPS, PQR and WQT).
Interface with the Project Key stakeholders involved in the EPC Contractors scope of work during yard fabrication activities at onshore/offshore site work and ensure Project Quality objectives are met.
Coordinating with the PMC (Penspen) Construction manager and design engineers to sort out, Identify and resolve engineering technical issues arising during construction process.
Work closely with the construction management team and associated contractor (NPCC) on site to ensure a concise understanding of all engineering packages, project specifications and standards.
Lead and manage day-to-day construction management of the project.
Routinely check Contractor PMT is providing support to the yard by ensuring timely issue of engineering drawings, fabricated materials, equipment and vendor package deliveries.
Monitor Contractor in terms of provision of the required manpower resources including experienced supervision.
Review contractor planned sequence of works against the two week look ahead plan to highlight any discipline clashes and problem areas.
Function as interface between the client Project Management Team and the construction contractor at site.
Work closely with the Engineering Contractor’s on-site follow-on engineering team ensuring the construction contractor is meeting all technical requirements.
Give advice on areas of concern, provide solutions, and take an active role in implementation of actions required to resolve problems.
Track daily work and review contractor’s work plans, activities and resources.
Review construction sequence and monitor activities against project milestones and report progress against schedule.
Coordinate best methods of installation with field installation crews.
Participate in developing project construction schedule.
Work with the contractor on site during the pre-commissioning and commissioning phases to ensure completeness prior to handover.
Review of final construction & quality documentation (dossiers) and handover to client (ADMA-OPCO) Operation department.
Supervise all of the contractor (NPCC) and sub-contractors works of fabrication, inspection, painting, installation & Pre-commissioning activities related to construction of Heat Exchanger, platforms, jackets, Piping & Hook-up activities).
Ensure that works are carried out as per the latest, approved drawings (IFC), applicable engineering Codes & Standards, Client procedures, specifications, Quality Management System, project design basis, quality plan, and HSE plan and Local Authority requirements.
Ensure that Non-Conformance Report (NCR) is raised once the activities deviated from the Contract Specifications or normal construction industry practices.
Issue & Review of mechanical Punch lists.
Collect lessons learnt related to mechanical activities to improve quality in projects.
Review all Packages weekly to ensure tasks and activities are co-ordinated in line with those outlined in the project document and according to the agreed work plan.
Attend daily & weekly Construction & Quality meetings to discuss and coordinate with other Managers, Superintendents and Engineers all pertinent issues relevant to the project.
Ensure that proper Quality control is maintained for all works being carried out at site.
Implement all safety regulations, attends safety group meetings and ensures all contractors fully comply with HSE requirements set by the company.
Act as the Company's official representative with clients, suppliers, partners and third party contractors, negotiating terms and conditions where necessary, ensuring that Company interests are both optimized and protected.
Reports weekly fabrications progress to Project Manager and Construction Manager.
Produce daily reports to the Project Leader highlighting project progress, areas of concern, accidents/ incidents if any, recommendations for improvements in construction practice or design.
Regular monitoring of progress through site visits & Report all delays / technical issues / discrepancies of the project and advise/recommend remedial solutions.
Attend kick-off meetings, pre-production meetings, and regular (weekly, monthly) progress meetings with subcontractors/vendors and clients.
Provide professional leadership and governance for site works.
Prepares the necessary procedures and documents for the project execution.
Works with various subcontractors to insure proper understanding and coordination of their respective scope of work.
Evaluate the project assigned to and recommend various cost savings methods.
Manage site teams to ensure project schedule is effectively communicated and known by all including sub-contractors and third parties.
Actively monitor and maintain teamwork at all levels ensuring sub-contractor / 3rd party personnel are included.
Never compromise HSE or quality standards to achieve tight deadlines.
Ensure accurate and rational inputs are provided in to Project execution schedules that reflect optimum, realistic and measurable man-hours.
Interface with Operations, Pre-commissioning, Design, Engineering and Quality groups to obtain full scope understanding to optimum delivery success.
Manage and co-ordinate all Sub-Contractor implementation activities to ensure milestones and KPI’s are delivered against business expectations.
Coordinate and distribute work packages for shop fabrication and field assembly.
Monitor site queries and NCR’s through quality front end planning and preparations to ensure minimal change / non-compliance.
Manage and coordinate all quality activities on site, including assignment of quality personnel (QC Engineers, QC Inspectors, Document Controllers, and 3rd Party Testing/Inspection Company) to particular activities / work areas on site.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with engineering details, procedures, specifications, Quality Management System, project design basis, quality plan, and HSES plan.
Inspect the received raw material by checking the material certificates and confirm with the material specifications.
Review the project (ITP, WPS, PQR and WQT).
Supervise all fabrication and inspection activities related to construction of new (Tanks, Heat Exchanger, platforms, jackets, Pipe lines & Piping).
Review of Isometric Drawings & ensure Approved WPS and Qualified welders are available.
Supervise the welder qualification Test (WQT) with client representative and Monitoring of Welder performance.
Coordinate and communicate with fabrication supervisor, fitters, welders and inspection personnel.
Work on establishing Quality control charts, Pareto diagram, Histograms, Collecting data, Data analysis, Cause & Effect diagrams.
Prepare project status reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends and recommend actions.
