PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
1) Plan, direct & supervise all activities in the Port fabrication workshop to carry out repairs and fabrication for all marine and onshore equipments in the Port Department including marine vessels, cranes, dophin fenders and fenders, bollards, quick release hooks, buoys and bunkering facilities, Conveyors, Generators, etc.
2) Assisting the Onshore Supervisor, Offshore Supervisor and Planning Scheduler in preparing specification sketches, scopes of work and cost estimates
3) Ensuring that QP Safety procedures are strictly adhered to including acting as Work Permit Controller
4) Direct, supervise and motivate Contractor staff comprising of technicians of various engineering disciplines
5) Conduct Safety meetings and toolbox meetings daily and weekly with the contractor staff and performing preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance jobs
6) Advise Onshore supervisor on appropriate levels of contractor staff required to carry out designated duties
7) Identify causes of failures for breakdowns and repetitive repairs and recommend improvements and cost reductions to the Harbor Supervisor
8) Worked on all types of Cranes up to 100 Tones, mainly Cranbou Kangaroo cranes, Gottwald cranes, Gantry cranes, Conveyors, etc.
9) Taking care of the facilities available in the workshop, ensuring the proper supplies and inventory flow for the co-workers and subordinates.
10) Mechanical maintenance activities of canes and plant machineries
11) Knowledge of maintenance procedures for equipments used in petroleum production facilities
12) Operation and Maintenance of Heavy Equipment Machineries: Generators, Caterpillars, Shovels, Forklifts, Dozers, Cranes, Trucks, Trailers etc.
