• Oversee all financial activities of the hospital on detailed hand on basis and provide strategic and operational support to various departments and financial managers.
• Working with the hospital`s CEO to develop financial goals and objectives for the hospital and ensure that those financial plans are implemented as planned.
• Contribution to the development and detailed planning and execution of management and financial reporting, budget management, cost - benefit analysis, forecasting needs, financial controls, policies, financial, IT systems and infrastructure as well as financing, cash management, taxes, audit and treasury management
• Set financial and productivity performance indicators, and benchmark to monitor financial results.
• Oversee the preparation of an annual business plan drawing on the hospital`s strategic and development plans for the future and indicating any need for organizational and structural changes. CFO will work closely with the CEO, COO and other department heads to build a comprehensive annual business plan.
• Closely monitor all financial matters related to the hospital, ensure that monthly financial report, and as well as bi-weekly progress reports completed on a timely basis.
• Produce annual financial statements with detailed analysis on the hospitals financial performances indicating the presence of and reason for any variances from budget
• Maintain effective revenue cycle process to keep account receivable and cash position at acceptable levels, and ensure sound credit and collection policies
• Examine insurance policies to ascertain that the hospital assets are properly insured against loss
• Develop and ensure that a system of internal controls is in place (financial)
• Oversee the development of an appropriate salary scale for medical and non-medical staff
• Oversee the operations of the finance and accounting units
• Prepare the elimination entries, reconciliation for the consolidation process
• Work closely with management to prepare policies and budget for the purposes of group
