On June 2005, I was responsible of the establishment of Capitals Institute of Health Sciences (http://capitals.edu.sa) . I was responsible of the determination of the budget during the establishment phase and completing the licensing requirements with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, Ministry of Commerce and other governmental agencies. Also, I was responsible of communicating with international universities and institutions for the preparation of the curricula, furnishing the labs and hiring the academic and administrative staff. In addition, I was member of various committees which were responsible of setting up policies and procedures related to students' admission, teaching and training, and clinical placement.

I play a great part in promoting the Capitals Institute and its program for all the interested parties including national and international organizations, funding agencies, students and parents, and health care providers. I am responsible of following up the daily work for the institute, managing both academic and administrative staff including staffing levels and monitoring the progress of the students. I review academic and administrative reports, and financial statements to determine the progress of the institute. I evaluate performance of subordinates. I represent the Institute at the governmental sessions.

In addition, I develop strategic plans to advance the Institute’s objectives and to promote revenues and growth of the Institute. I evaluate and agree on the yearly budget for the Institute, review the academic schedule and the distribution of workload among the staff and assess and follow up the implementation of the marketing plan. I present the annual report to the stockholders.

I was Actively involved in formulating and implementing a systematic and effective Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement processes. I compile reports on all Quality Assurance and ensure that corrective and preventive measures are carried out. Also, I carry out a continuous patients’ treatment chart check to make sure that the Section’s standards and procedures are followed.

I acted as a coordinator with Training and Development Department of KFSH&RC to organize education and training courses for the staff and act -as a member of the patient education committee- in cancer education and support groups directed to the general public. I formulate and participate in effective education programs for patients in the Radiation Oncology Section.

As a member of the Section’s Internal Policies and procedures (IPP’s) Committee, I developed and assisted in developing new IPP’s, review and update them annually. I, as well, educate the staff about the new IPP’s and ensure that the Section’s IPP’s are followed and met.

I acted as a chairperson for the Total Quality Management (TQM) and the Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) Committee in the Radiation Oncology Section. I coordinated research, studies and patient-based surveys to improve the services provided and to identify patient’s needs and areas of satisfaction. I assisted with the Performance Improvement (PI) process of KFSH&RC and implement their procedures.

I am responsible of providing effective orientation program for new employees, preparing the Therapist roster, compiling attendance, sickness, overtime and provisional leave records. I, as well, evaluated performance of subordinates and complete their annual appraisal, Counsel subordinates to improve performance and/or propose disciplinary actions using the appraisal and competency forms.

I assisted in the daily clinical jobs in Radiation Therapy involving Simulation, CT Planning and treatment.

I worked in the Radiation Oncology Department at King AbdulAziz Medical City/National Guard for 8 months. I helped in setting-up the new department, organize the flow of work, arrange the purchasing for the supplies and writing up some of the internal policies and procedures related to our work. I, as well, was involved in writing up the patient education materials. Moreover, I worked on the simulation machine and the 2300Ex treatment machine, and treated the first few patients in the department.

In addition I worked in simulation for six months, on Varian Ximatron and Oldelft Simulix-y MC and performed CT planning.
