• Performs effective and efficient fire fighting activities in case fire by.
a) Driving the fire trucks and manning the fire trucks pump engine.
b) Directing the fire fighting activities.
• Assists the Safety Officer in the Implementation of Fire Preventive and Safety Measures of the Company.
• Check the fire fighting equipment and their accessories like the fire truck water tanks, fire fighting pumps, pressure gauges, water piping’s, fittings, valves and water outlets for hoses connections, fire hoses and nozzles to ensure good operating condition and well maintained equipment.
• Maintains good housekeeping at the fire truck garage and the safety section office/service building so that the fire trucks are always clean and tidy to ensure all the fire fighting tools and equipment are ready for use.
• Conduct regular inspection of the fire hydrant system which includes the electric motors, diesel engine driven fire fighting pumps, fire hoses and boxes among others to ensure their worthiness.
• Sees to it that the fire truck loading stations are free from obstruction, the fire truck loading electric motor and diesel engine driven pumps are operational, and the pump pools have enough water always.
• Sees to it that the bagasse yard fire guards are present and well-equipped in their assigned shifts during milling season and hot/dry season.
• Performs other duties as maybe assigned or required for the job.
• Actively participates in all improvement activities related to IMS as required by the job.
Responsible for performing fire fighting activities whenever necessary to protect company property with the use of fire fighting equipment such as fire trucks, fire extinguisher and other related equipment and tools, and assists the Safety Officer in the implementation of the Company’s Safety Policy and Regulatory compliance.
Produce high quality output metal product like stereo parts, radiator parts and many others.
Responsible for high daily output and maintaining good quality of the products Produced products are appliances parts.
Responsible for trouble shooting Standard Products.
