Supply chain responsibility for the new Airbus A220, previous C-Series, in China. All major fuselage sections are being manufactured in China by a government owned company.
Main achievements in first 2 years:
- 100% on site delivered in 2021
- 70% of quality issues eradicated
- production rate increased by 20%
- deployment of a plateau of about 40 people to manage the operations with the supplier.
Accountable for Product Assurance of A320 aircraft finally assembled and delivered in Tianjin.
Leading the teams for Aircraft Conformance Management and Customer Inspection Management.
Taking the power of attorney (51%) in shareholder meetings for the joint venture Engineering Centre Airbus Russia (ECAR).
The key accountabilities as follows:
- Profit and Loss responsible for ECAR
- Achieve an offshore ratio of 80% for the workload with India
- Develop capabilities and capacity of cabin suppliers
Major Achievements:
- Decrease hourly rate of ECAR by 30% in 2015/2016
- Achievement of 29 % EBIT with ECAR in 2015
- Autonomous design of overhead stowage by supplier in TQ.
In the airframe engineering environment being accountable for lean implementation and subcontracting managment. In this role I am responsible for two engineering offshore centers in India and Russia.
For the engineering centre Airbus Russia I am acoountable for profit and loss. The Russian centre counts 200 heads and the one in India 120 head with the head of engineering reporting directly to me.
08/2009 - today: Head of supply chain logistics & supply chain quality for the
Airbus Bremen plant (wing equipping and high lift devices)
Set up of a department (30 employees) to secure deliveries of major components from a global supply chain.
- Develop a lean logistic concept for a mixed model wing
equipping line for A350XWB and A330,
- Restructure of the supply chain quality function into one
supply chain department,
- Installation of early warning systems for major suppliers
based on real time production data from suppliers,
- Transfer of work packages to e.g. the United Arab Emirates.
02/2007 - 07/2009: Project leader for the A330/A340 programme leading 3 major
projects at Airbus Operations GmbH: - Representing of the Airbus interests on site of a seat
supplier in Japan and ensuring on time aircraft deliveries,
- Leading of a recovery programme on site a German supplier to secure galley deliveries for final assembly lines,
- Transfer of work for flaps and flap track fairings from a US
source to European suppliers.
04/2004 - 01/2007: PMO (project management office) at Airbus Deutschland GmbH in Bremen with a contract of Altran Germany GmbH & Co KG.
Responsibilities for A400M and main achievements have been: - Set up of an integrated planning for 4 major components
including risk management for fuselage & empennage,
- Leading also the monitoring for drawing release bracket
installation for fuselage sections.
06/1998 - 09/1998: Employment as design engineer after apprenticeship at Erbslöh
