SAP BI Project Manager, Solution Architect, and IT Advisor for KJO Corporate Planning, Khafji Join Operations - KJO.

Responsible of establishing BI practice and lead the design and implementation of a corporate planning solution in KJO. Tasks involved the followings:

Analyzing KJO corporate planning business processes and design a new solution to automate the planning process throughout the company's departments and units.

Automate the monthly and quarterly tasks of creating accountability and MIS reports .

Establish BI management dashboards and analytical reporting platform with a vision to deploy to all other organizations within the company in order to maximize the benefit and optimize decision making process.

Building a robust analytical platform for Net Direct Expenditure, Capital Expenditure, Headcount, Training, Oil Production, and Health and Safety.

Automating the business planning process and the overall budgeting proposal and approval process.

Design and develop PS, CO, and HR models in BI which represent the foundation for management dashboards (e.g. executive dashboard for top management), accountability reports, MIS reports, analytical reports, business planning, and budgeting approval process.

Head of SAP-BI team members in which accomplished various BI projects which include HR, FI, CO, IM, PS, PY, PM, MM, and SRM.

During my leadership of the team, accomplished the followings:

1. Enhanced the configuration of data transfer settings of the BI production system which results in increase of data load performance by no less than triple.

2. Established Naming conventions of all custom developed objects in BI.

3. Built a standard frame in Visual Composer for creating Dashboards. The frame was utilized by multiple modules e.g. MM, PM, and TD...etc.

4. Established a discipline in controlling access of BI team to various business objects within BI production system.

5. Proved that BI supports Arabic Language and launched Arabic reporting within BI.

6. Established a strategy and the usage of highly formatted report within various BI developed solutions.

7. Established daily monitoring and support role of BI production system.

8. Established QA standards and strategy as part of our BI development cycle.

9. Mentored couple of SEC direct employees by transferring BI knowledge to them throughout different stages of BI development cycle.

10. Lead the performance enhancement of ~33 InfoCubes in BI production system.

11. Developed a custom solution to automate authorization in BI based on user authorization in ERP.

12. Lead the implementation of Payroll enhancement in BI. The Enhancement combines cumulative amounts from CRT cluster table with RT individual postings.

13. Lead the activation and implementation of BI statistics and BI Administration Cockpit in Portal.

14. Established a strategy for BI implementations in Saudi Electricity Company. The strategy is written toward increasing the quality, reliability, and ROI of current BI developments as well as reducing the risk of implementation failure.

SAP BW Lead Technical Consultant for HR, SAP Computer Center, Saudi Aramco. During this period made the following achievements:

Lead 3 BW projects in HR. The objectives of these projects is to convert reporting from legacy system of 3 HR sub-systems in mainframe to SAP BW integrated reporting solution.

For the last 4 years I have been using SUSE Linux exclusively as main OS for my server in which have gained experience in many Open Source applications include:

SAP BW Consultant, Business Systems Integration Program, Saudi Aramco. During this period made the following achievements:

Successfully delivered custom solution for cost controlling authorization in BW. The requirement was to build dynamic authorization assignment that mirrors exactly the user role assignment of cost controlling authorization in R/3. Therefore, BW automatically adjust its user authorization profile according to any changes to the user profile in R/3.

* Member of FI/CO Core team in which have participated in analyzing, designing and customizing of Account Receivable, Account Payable and General ledger modules in R/3. Presented many workshops and presentations with end users illustrating the business change according to R/3 system.

* Was involved in the process of data collection and conversion from legacy system to R/3. Created and organized the data format templates in order to capture legacy system data into R/3 format according to company financial requirements which includes master data and transaction data like customer, vendor, Assets, General ledger and transactional documents.

* SAP BW Consultant, Business Systems Integration Program, Saudi Aramco. During this period made the following achievements:

* Member of DW Finance Team in which have participated in analyzing, designing and developing of Financial Accounting, Cost Controlling, and Project System SAP BW rollouts as part of achieving company-wide Data Warehouse solution.

* Completed successfully rollouts of BW Financial Modules which are Account Receivables, Account Payables, General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Cost Controlling, and Project System in which was involved into end-to-end data warehouse development.

* Supported BW production environment for Financial Accounting, Cost Controlling, and Project System.

* Successfully upgraded AR Line Items solution to BW 2.0b.

* Was responsible of BW Cost Controlling end-to-end solution CO Line Items.

* Successfully accomplished Cost Controlling reporting solution in BW in which verity of reports generated upon different users needs.

* Completed successfully Asset Accounting rollouts.

* Accomplished successfully data warehouse solution on integrating external non R/3 data with data extracted from R/3 itself .

* Very good experience in building extractors in which have built many transactional data and master data extractors like AR Line Items, CO Line Items extractor (actual and plan data), GL line Items, Asset Master Data and many others.

* In all above projects had conducted all System Development Life Cycle stages like system analysis, High Level Design, Low Level Design, Multidimensional Data Modeling, Quality Assurance Check, Data Staging Modeling, Technical Documentation, User Documentation, Unit Technical Testing, and Unit Functional Testing. All of which were part of a full project implementation of Finance and Controlling modules in BW.
