I am working as a reviewer for the International Journal of Linguistics. The tasks I do include reviewing, editing and revising articles submitted for publication.

Supervising research projects on English language, linguistics and translation studies
I have been working an editor for Newcastle Working Papers in Linguistics (NWPL) since 2009. Some of the tasks I did include:
- communicating with authors and reviewers
- editing and revising articles
- setting up dates for the different stages of the publication of the volumes, e.g. sending out the call for papers, sending outarticles to anonymous reviews, sending articles back to authors with the reviewers' feedback, reading, revising, editing the articles once the required amendments have been introduced, etc
- setting up meetings with editors and assigning roles to them and explaining to them the editing job
- designing the cover & title pages for the journal
I taught different English language courses at the Faculty of Education of El Mergib University in Al Khums, Libya. These courses include Lnaguage Lab, General Linguistics, English Grammar, etc.

I taught several English language and linguistics related modules including 'linguistics, Syntax, Grammar, Varieties of English, Research Methodology, Translation Studies, etc as well as Speaking, Writing and Reading Skills. I also taught English for specific purposes for non-specialists.

I taught English language for non-specialists at different departments including department of Information and Journalism, department of Arabic Language and the department of Social Sciences at Naser University of Nations.
2001-2005
Translating different types of texts from and into English/Arabic/English.
2007-2012: PhD in Linguistics & English Language, Newcastle University, School of English Literature, Language & Linguistics, UK. Title of the the dissertation: The Syntax of Ellipsis in Libyan Arabic The thesis has been accepted for publication in the UK.
2000-2004: Master of Arts in English Language & Transition Studies I studied 16 modules related to English Language & Linguistics, Arabic Language and Translation Studies and submitted a master's dissertation.
1995-1999: BA in English Language & Linguistics, Naser University, Libya
