Work history

2013/14 - National Health Service England and Race Equality Foundation

The cost of Mental Health in England is £105 billion £30 billion is work related sickness due to Mental Health it costs the economy £8.4 billion per year and £15.1 billion in reduced productivity BME communities are disproportionately effected and least likely to access services. I achieved change by personalizing the production and delivery of service and promoting social action, social inclusion whilst strengthening accountability to local people I focused on measurable outcomes and the NICE Quality Standards
I empowered local organisations and practitioners to have the freedom to innovate and to drive improvements in services that deliver support of the highest quality for people of all backgrounds and cultures. I developed a three day training and awareness session that included bringing community leaders and NHS Mental Health Managers together to create a clear pathway of service delivery the project was delivered nationally across six regions. I raised awareness of the impact of Mental Health in BME Communities, empowered local organizations to create meaningful dialogue with NHS front line staff, facilitated mapping exercises in each area to deliver a better collaborative Mental Health service, developed early intervention techniques and started the process of an action plan committed to by both parties.
