• As Senior Auditor at EY in Assurance Services:
o Leading and managing fieldwork on clients sites including liaising with other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of the Audit process
o Demonstrated Business Development skills and identify additional sales opportunities
o Demonstrated an application and solution-based approach to problem solving, referred to for research on delivery of solutions in particular fields on client assignments
o Demonstrated expertise in primary accounting frameworks (GAAP or IFRS) and in related financial reporting matters
o Provide on-the-job training for developing auditing skills and familiarity with the firm’s audit methodology
o Identify areas requiring improvement in the clients business processes and possible recommendations and prepare and deliver Management Letter to be provided to the client
Working as Manager Assurance in the Audit and Assurance Group, my key responsibilities includes:
Guiding large teams through planning, execution and completion stages of audit;
Engagement planning based on understanding of the entity and assessment of business and related audit risks;
Coordination with team to define the extent of planned audit procedures and to update on progress of the engagement;
Supervision, review and finalization of assurance engagements and special assignments;
Liaison with client's management and communication of relevant matters to persons at appropriate level of responsibility;
Consultation on significant matters with various professionals such as lawyers, tax advisors, actuaries and IT experts;
Assisting clients in preparation of financial statements in accordance with the applicable financial reporting framework including compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), local corporate laws and directives of regulatory authorities.
The experience of the firm has enabled me to develop an understanding of regulatory environment of diversified sectors, key business processes, the accounting and internal control systems of several organizations.
-Held as best presenter of “Practical Skills Training Course” of MFC batch 14 of ICAP -Held as best cadet for 5 years of Cadet College Skardu (Gold Medalist) -Held as best debater of College for Academic year 2004 -Held as best debater of Pakistan (Urdu) in All Pakistan Bilingual debating competition held at Cadet College Razmak (2002) -Served as President and Finance Secretary at various times during my 5 years stay at Cadet College Skardu -Appraisal Ratings: • 4 out of 5 for the years 2010, 2011 and 2012. • 5 out of 5 for the year 2013.
