Sample courses and topics covered: •Supply Chains Analytics: (network optimization and location decisions) •Inventory Management: ( EOQ,EPQ, safety stock, uncertain demand and lead time, newsvendor model, periodic and continuous reviews) •Forecasting: (exponential smoothing, trends and seasonality model, regression, ARIMA models, Holt’s-Winter’s models) •Operations Management: capacity constraints, queuing, scheduling, revenue management and linear programming) •Lean Productions Concepts: Kanban, 5S, wastes elimination, setup/lot size reduction, quality management tools and VSM) •Purchasing Management: negotiation, supplier selection criteria, score cards, sustainable materials and suppliers, outsourcing, price determination and SRM. Sample team projects: •Distribution network analysis for Shur-Line. • Examining lean practices at Loyola University hospital. •Sustainable suppliers and raw materials for Griffith Foods. •Analysis of inventory processes at John H. Stroger Hospital.
