Achievements:
• Establishment of an independent administration function at Maersk, providing services to all Business Units including Maersk Line, Safmarine, (DAMCO until December 2010) and APM Terminals.
• Successful project launch as BPO and Super User for Travel Expense Management (TEM) and Self Service Procurement (SSP) modules of project FACT. (A SAP based application adopted by AP Moller Maersk Group)
• Timely completion of various interior and furnishing projects of offices for Maersk Group in Karachi, Lahore and Faisalabad with zero downtime in working hours.
• Developed various admin. related policies and SOPs for travel, vehicles, mobile phones and documents warehousing in support of business objectives of the organization.
• Initiated cost cutting programs regarding mobile phones, office supplies/maintenance, vehicles and transportation.
• Initiation and completion of travel outsourcing and creation of travel desk by American Express Travels.
• Project completion of assets tagging of all fixed and low value assets with periodic counting and verification.
• Annual budget preparation for administration related items including office expenses, repair/maintenance, company cars, pool vehicles, staff vans, fuel and maintenance costs etc.
• Arranged regular fire-drills and evacuation exercises on all locations. Coordinated effectively for curtailing fire at Bahria Complex-I on January 08, 2008.
• Launching of quarterly admin. survey to staff on admin. department’s performance.

Other Responsibilities:
• Providing overall direction and leadership to the company’s administration staff as well as to the subcontracted functions, such as housekeeping, security, valet, maintenance and catering etc.
• Reviewing all admin. related data for accuracy and completeness, establishing proper data inventories for all admin related items including cell phones, vehicles, insurance policies, fixed assets etc.
• Ensuring that the office premises (including corporate office, customer services office, branches, port offices, warehouses, and repair yards) are maintained in an appropriate, organized and hygienic manner, supporting corporate identity and image.
• Responsible to provide facilitation to all expat staff on work visa, housing, security, personal staff and travelling.
• Ensuring proper implementation of safety and security directives to safeguard employees, company assets and operations.
• Maintaining effective relationships with all agencies and authorities having a role in safety and security of assets and staff e.g. police, armed forces, rangers, CPLC etc.
• Reviewing and selecting vendors for administration related services in conjunction with management and approve invoices with respect to expenses in all administration related activities.
• Ensuring that the archive-rooms are kept in an orderly manner and proper inventory system is used.
• Negotiating prices, quality and quantity with various suppliers in conjunction with management.
