Driving operational improvements while ensuring a tight control on operational costs. Responsible for monitoring and continually improving performance and quality standards within the nine different manufacturing plants of the group in the Fiberglass domain. Managing the Group’s plant and machinery division for the procurement of new technologies and the set-up of new factories.
Duties:
• Creating, managing and analyzing operations related key performance indicators (KPI) data and other information.
• Heading the central machinery division which provides the machinery design, supply and commissioning for all the Group’s requirements of advanced machinery. Responsible for the P&L, Budgeting and Financial performance of the division.
• Responsible for the continuous exploration of new technologies that would enhance efficiency in addition to the assessment & procurement of completely new machinery
• Preparing operational feasibility studies for all special projects including but not limited to new green field plants, expansions, in addition to slimming down and relocation of current plants
• Participating in technical audits of possible acquisition target companies globally
• Initiating multiple cost reduction initiatives at the group level, by utilizing Lean management techniques (six sigma, 5S, TPM)
• Creating control reports for the different layers of the organization and assisting the units in identify key areas of improvement with recommendations.
• Identifying, developing and sharing best practices through the on-site visits to the manufacturing plants.
• Continuous follow-up on the manpower management at the plants to ensure standardization in addition to supervising the inter-company transfer of employees
• Ensuring that capacity is continually centrally planned at the group level for the mega-projects.
• Building the costing model for all products’ offering in addition to dynamically pricing strategic projects by working closely with the Finance and Country Heads.
Implementing internal control procedures to meet the clients’ business requirements.
Duties:
• Developing project-based control policies and business processes
• Progress monitoring analysis and internal operations auditing on the different departments
• Modifying existing internal systems to improve construction effectiveness and personalizing them to requirements
• Tracking and control of the construction and material takeoff activities, by producing a series of reports detecting the pitfalls, excess manpower, accounts management, and human resources management tools
• GIS data gathering from several departments in the project through prepared forms and integrating the updates in the system, analyze the data and submitting it to the client.
Contributed in the inauguration of the Volvo dealership in complex market conditions. Duties include:
- Installation of the after-sales service center to include: Equipment, machinery, store, spare parts inventory
- Preparing and performing the training schedule for the mechanics (technical readings, practical training, electronic problem diagnostic using VADIS system)
- Advise on modern methods for effective sales techniques, setting up the workflow for the sales, delivery terms, payment terms, service schedule for the sold cars in coordination with the General Manager
