Senior Specialist at the VHF Network Infrastructure Team of SITAONAIR, responsible for VHF network deployment and operation in the Middle East and Africa region, including:
•VHF stations deployment in the MEA region, including acquiring frequency license from telecom regulators, site surveying, lease agreement management with airports in MEA region, circuit ordering and delivery, equipment ordering and delivery, installation, configuration and commissioning.
•Performance monitoring for VHF network in the MEA region, ensuring VHF stations performance are above thresholds for all defined KPIs, periodic audit for parameters and network configuration, issuing resolution and recommendations to enhance the performance.
•Vender management for all projects including deployments, relocations, system upgrades and maintenance, issuing PRs, budget management.
•Incident management and close follow up on tickets related to MEA VHF stations performance and operation, coordinating with field engineers around the region to insure minimum resolution time.
Network Performance Analyst at Zain - Jordan, responsible for providing end to end network performance analysis of 2G, 3G, 4G networks, backbone network, core network and international gateways:
• Perform periodic check on radio network performance (2G, 3G & 4G) using Astellia, Huawei iPRS and U2000 tools and provide network, BSC, RNC, cluster and cell level analysis, track network parameters, operations and newly added features, provide benchmarking reports representing main events.
• Conduct periodic check on backhaul network performance, microwave, OSN, DWDM and SDH networks utilization, availability and performance, highlight backhaul network bottlenecks and provide resolution.
• Periodic analysis for core network elements (Ericsson/Huawei), interfaces and gateways, monitor core PS and CS KPIs, monitor gateways KPIs, check national and international trunks availability and utilization.
• Provide geo-marketing based studies that represent network main KPI`s, work closely with senior management, sales and marketing teams to drive network expansion, service offering and marketing campaigns.
• Provide network coverage analysis based on existing and planned network elements; provide geo-based studies using Atoll, MapInfo, Google Earth and ArcGIS tools.
• Big-data handling, create MySQL databases to collect data from different network elements, correlate, aggregate, analyze and benchmark information from different sources to provide a clear understanding of network performance.
Senior Radio Planning and Optimization Engineer at the RAN Department of Mada Communication, responsible for Mada radio access network in West Amman area, responsibilities includes:
Network Planning:
• Frequency and Radio parameters planning.
• Expansion planning and site survey.
• Performing full site design (WiMAX, Backhaul, Civil and Power).
• Coverage and capacity simulation using Atoll planning tools.
• Designing, planning of Redline and Proxim Pre-WiMAX links on 3.5GHz, 5.1GHz, Issuing link studies.
• Involved in LTE migration project, evaluating RAN equipment capabilities for multiple venders, study different migration scenarios, coverage and capacity planning for LTE using Atoll planning tool.
Network Optimization:
• Perform periodic drive testing for west Amman area, Analyzing drive test data, issuing reports containing full analysis of network status.
• Provide recommendations to enhance network performance.
• Daily optimization work to ensure the network quality and coverage.
• Periodic physical configuration auditing for AMW sites.
• Configuration changes of RAN elements (APs/CAPC/Pre-WiMAX/WM) to maintain optimum performance.
Network Performance:
• Monitor daily network statistics behavior using Maxzilla system to check the quality and Network KPI’s.
• Analyze performance on network, zone, area and cell level, Generating periodic reports reflecting the network performance.
• Problem detection and issuing resolution.
• Issuing Geo-Marketing studies based on statistics analysis for Jordan governorates and districts, provide recommendations based on network capacity and performance in each area.
• Performance evaluation of new CPE`s from different vendors, Evaluating the performance of new Access Points and CPE software releases.
Network Implementation:
• Project rollout and network integration for the new phases.
• Manage AP software upgrade to the latest release.
• Coordination with contractor teams for any civil and telecom installation.
• Supervise MW/Pre-WiMAX links installation, alignment and integration.
• Commissioning and Acceptance for all WiMAX RAN Network elements.
Operation and Maintenance:
• Maintenance and troubleshooting for all RAN elements issues.
• Monitor site different alarms and provide resolution.
• Perform On-Call duties to support network performance and maintenance during off hours.
• Follow up with network elements venders regarding any issues.
Radio Planning and Optimization Engineer at the RAN Department of Mada Communication, responsible for Planning, Optimization, Performance, Implementation and Maintenance for Mada`s WiMAX network in West Amman Areas.
Internship at Zain-Jordan Network Switching Subsystem (NSS) department, involved in performing network switches expansions, diagnose network problems and performing trace operations through the network to check network components.
