Responsible for all Warehousing, Distribution, Customer service & Inventory functions within the budget, most efficient manner to have optimum productivity & customer satisfaction. Manage 20 K M’2 warehouse, workshop and a fleet of 28 trucks with 130 staff.
§ Logistics:
~ Effective supply chain control and ensure shipments from suppliers reach shelf on timely manner. Implement and review process to ensure optimum productivity was achieved on logistic functions. Conduct root cause analysis for errors/ damages and implement corrective and preventive measures. Review product quality inspection reports from warehouse and external agents. Follow up with buyers and suppliers for damage and shortage claims. Ensure timely receipt of inbound, store replenishment and customer deliveries. Review put away strategy, location lay-out and promotes lean methods to have least touches. Resource planning, warehouse space, manpower, IT infrastructure, fleet etc..Negotiate with suppliers/ service providers to receive the quote and services and to reduce operational cost. Supervise corrective and preventive maintenance for fleet, warehouse and workshop equipments. Closely follow up with suppliers for missing/replacement parts and reduce obsolete stock holding. Evaluate workshop cost analysis for repairing the products and reduce stock on hold lead-time.
§Customer Service:
~Ensure all customer complaints were resolved within lead time.Understand customer graveness with empathy, forward feasible solutions and avoid disputes.
Conduct root cause analysis for customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive measures. Review pending deliveries and negotiate with customers for storage charges.
§Inventory Management:
~ Ensure all in/out documents are updated through ORMS and closely monitor transit inventory. Conduct cyclic counts at stores and warehouse and maintain bin accuracy above 99.99%. Evaluate toot cause analysis for errors and implement corrective and preventive measures. Forward non displayed items details to planning and retail and monitor hold stock. Conduct ABC analysis and forward the recommendation to planning dept. Monitor deposit invoices from customers and ensure stores are following the agreed lead time. Conduct half yearly stock take at all facility.
§Review monthly expense reports with finance and strive for continuous improvement.
§Ensure all department follow safety norms.
§Ensure the best waste management processes are in place and promote recycling activities.
§Maintain pest control records and submit on request.
§Review and forward various KPI’S to higher management ( Warehouse cost vs sale, delivery cost against invoice value, Multiple delivery attempts, Customer issues against sale, damaged holding against stock on hand, inventory variance against stock on hand, Order fulfillment %, Lead time from port to stock, Cartoon handled/ Hr, Maintenance cost of truck, fuel efficiency ) etc..
§Periodically conduct warehouse sale to reduce obsolete inventory.
§Take leadership for staff training and conduct half yearly performance appraisal.
§Support finance for budgeting and short/long term planning.
§Highlight product quality issues to buying dept.
§Periodically visit showrooms, understand retail expectations and foster improvement plans.
Control all activities of the warehouse; documentation, storage & distribution of stocks and ensure smooth supply chain. . Ensure the procedures and processes are followed, periodically conduct GAP analysis and review the process. Define inventory process, evaluate root cause analysis for inventory errors and initiate CA &PA. Schedule and plan half yearly stock take for clients and ensure agreed stock accuracy is acheived. Promote safety procedures and ensure safe work environment.Ensure all incidents are reported and initiate measures to avoid recurrence. Retain pest control records and initiate corrective action as per service reports. Ensure proper Housekeeping for the facility. Provide leadership and direction to the team to achieve the departmental goals. Closely monitor, analyze various operational data and initiate continuous improvement plans . Evaluate and improve KPI parameters Productivity, Customer satisfaction, Staff training, Accidents/Incidents, Claims, Cost reduction, Stock Accuracy, W/H Utilization, Recycling and P&L. Ensure KPI’s are achieved. Provide feasible solutions to customer graveness. Resource, budget planning and maintain the discipline. Monthly P& L review and effective cost management by controlling expenses within allocated budgets. Ensure proper training to all staff. Staff appraisal and clearly define the expectation. Coordination: Liaise with various government bodies and ensure that guidelines procedures and custom formalities and followed. Support Sales department for Bidding and review the profitability of existing business. Liaise with client and WMS team for operational/process improvements, reports and interface. Follow up on Facility Management and ensure Corrective and Preventive maintenance of MHE’s. Develop and foster good working relations with other departments and external agencies to facilitate smooth delivery of logistics services across the organization.
