The Key Deliverables:
• worked as the Accounts Manager with Qatar Shipping Company based at Doha, Qatar. The company is a part of the largest maritime conglomerate in Qatar involved in diversified activities.
• Responsible for timely compilation of accounts as per International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), ensure completion of statutory audit and publication of results well within the stock market deadline.
• Treasury management which involves continuous cash flow monitoring, managing company's investment portfolio and negotiations with banks for term and working capital loans.
• The company has investments in several joint ventures within Qatar as well as overseas. Co-ordination with joint venture partners especially on matters connected with accounts and finance is another key function in this role.
• Key member of the project team to take over world's largest LNG vessels from AP Moller Mearsk. This project involves handling of accounts, finance as well as handling complex tax issues within the EU as well as between EU and Qatar and company law related matters.
• Possess hands on experience in handling accounting aspects connected with merger and acquisition such as overseeing a Purchase Price Allocation exercise in line with IFRS 3. Have also played a key role in due diligence activities in a pre-merger process.
• Key member of the successful bidding team for a major offshore service project in Qatar with a total bid value of about US$ 500 million.
The Key Deliverables:
• Successfully led all Resources Control functions of the largest profit centre of the organization. This involved overall responsibility for accounting, financial management, credit control, legal, documentation, human resources and administrative affairs.
• In appreciation was given the overall charge of the profit centre also encompassing commercial functions besides the responsibilities described above.
• Effectively contributed in achieving cost optimization measures which helped maintain a consistent healthy bottom line.
• Played an active role in devising and implementing effective budgetary control measures.
• Achieved consistent success in maintaining receivables within healthy norms through effective credit appraisals and credit control measures in the domain of about Rs.15 million.

• The job involved carrying out internal audit of company owned supermarkets and department stores with special emphasis on checking controls of cash and stocks.
