• Perform designated task as part of the Code Blue Team
• Provide immediate nursing care for cardiac arrest patient
• Provide immediate nursing care for Trauma/ RTA patient
• Perform triage upon arrival of patient in ER
• Assess patient status and notify physicians of clinical changes
• Ensure patient’s safety in all aspacts of nursing care
• Intercact with the departments regarding patient care
• Perform, blood extraction, IV cannulation, AVG and VBG both adult and pediatric patient
• Able to operate ER equipmets such as crashcart, cardiac monitors, dynamap, VBG machine, infusion pumps, syringe pumps, glucometer, pressure bag, AVG machine, Doppler, CTG machine, ultrasound machine, suction machine
• Perform ER admission process in accordance with hospital policy
• Perform nursing care in patients requiring minor-or treatment
• Perform nursing care with pediatric-ER patients
• Perform foley catheter insertion in male and female patients
• Assist ER consultant in performing chest tube insertion
• Able to interact well with colleagues
• Charting and documentation of patient care
• Perform ER shift endorment, Material request, Pharmacy request and monthly expiration checklist
• Perform health assessment of the patient and nursing diagnosis
• Ensure prevision of quality emergency medical care to patients requiring emergency treatment in accordance with physician orders, hospital policy and standard nursing care
• Manage patients in trauma situations
• Perform, blood extraction, IV cannulation both adult and pediatric patient
• Administer medication as per doctors orders thru IM, IV, SQ, oral
• Determine fetal heart tones, monitor contractions and assist mother in labor process
• Prepares room, sterile instruments, equipments and supplies and ensure that stock of supplies is maintained
• Assess patient’s status and notify physicians of clinical changes
• Interact with departments regarding patient care
• Educate patients/families on health care needs
• Maintain patients charts and confidential files
• Participate in extensive post op care
