• Articulate the IT Governance policies and processes based on COBIT 5 framework.
• Articulate a resources governance policies and procedures covering infrastructure, IT processes and IT staff.
• Evaluate the maturity levels for set of elected COBIT 5 processes is coordination with top 4 consulting team.
In late 2016, Aqel moved to lead the department of strategic management, where he embarked on designing and building a strategic management framework for Albilad. This includes:
• Albilad 2017-2021 strategic plan revamping activities.
• Led a team to formulate an enterprise IT strategy, which is an essential part of the corporate, and IT governance requirements.
• Designing a model for strategic projects evaluation and prioritization that consists 18 measureable criteria in five groups (1. Strategic Alignment, 2. Financial perspective, 3.Risks / complexity, 4.Market Competitiveness, & 5.Internal Performance and Productivity).
• Designing an execution and follow up process for all strategic enablers after mapping them to the strategic and tactical objectives.
• Design a execute a dashboard of related performance indicators at business lines level as well as accumulated levels for the top management and BOD levels.
• Design and run a communication plan to inform about the strategy and facilitate strategy cascading and implementation.
• Running an on-going strategic intelligence process where relevant strategic data are gathered, stored, classified, shared with concerned parties, and acted upon in an organized manner.
• Participated in strategic risk analysis and evaluation for ICAAP - Basel III compliance.
The deputyship is responsible for the development and implementation of automated organizational and operational environment in the Ministry in alignment with ministry’s objectives and the policies.
The deputyship received set of awards in e-government acheivments for its distinguished automated e-services. Its operations covers three key perspectives which are planning, organizational development and information technology.

2: e-Readiness Programs: waves of e-readiness programs were established to build and sustain readiness for technology enablement and performance development.
3:Information technology Audit: incuding Periodic Health Check, Implementing quality Standards, ICT Security, and Audit IT Projects (Project Management Quality, e-Services Implementation)
4.Management Consulting Services: Strategic Alignment and Performance management , Business Process enhancement / change management
I did various studies in-house or in coordination with some other contractors, and as a certified information systems auditor, my responsibilities included lots of research in management development initiative, developing IT Security, e-transformation specifically e-government program Studies and projects.
My Role included lots of collaboration with highly skilled consultants and scholars which enriched my research and analytical capabilities as well as my communication and project management skills.

In the last few years I Improved my Knowledge and capabilities in Information systems security, governance & control by studying the Control Objectives for IT and related technologies (COBIT) published by ISACA (Information systems audit and control association) while preparing for CISA certification. I have passed the CISA exam. in june 2003 with a score of (83)% and accepted as Licensed Certified information systems auditor as from Oct-2003. ISACA publications and studies added a big value to my experience by exposing me to the best practices in all IT processes to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of IT Investment. ISACA taught me how to assess IT risks, and how to plan for risk mitigation by Contingency and business continuity plans to assure confidentiality, integrity & availability of the information systems that support highly critical business needs To assure excellent productivity in IT projects I Use to implement the CMM Capability Maturity Model in order to document and the knowledge experienced by the team while executing the project in order to utilize it in a future project. this requires identification of process tasks and its related performance indicators.
