Where required attend weekly QA/QC meeting with QMT team, QCE and SC.
Coordinate with the Materials Engineer for QC support issues and Quality Engineer for Quality
Assurance issues.
Responsible in quality control execution and monitoring on site during the shaft excavation,
additional ground investigation, shotcreting operations and control, such as wire-mesh installation,
drilling of weep holes and rock bolts installations.
Coordinate with Geotechnical Engineer for third party ground investigation and injection works.
Ensure that shaft excavation for every advance are inspected by geotechnical engineer and face
mapping conducted.
Issued work inspection request for every advance of excavation, shotcreting and pre-pour in-situ
casting and ensure that checklist are properly filled up upon execution and inspection.
Ensure that rock bolt installation for shaft wall improvement were in place and pull out testing were
conducted as per approved frequency before application of final layer shotcrete.
Liaise with QCE/SC counterpart for the related witnessing and releasing site shaft and additional
ground investigation and releasing of works.
Coordinate with the Materials Engineer for Material Receiving Inspection.
Perform routine site quality related check in liaison with SHP site Engineer and QCE inspectors.
Take photos and record.
Issue discrepancy report when found necessary.
Perform Quality Audit on laboratory and concrete suppliers.
Any other tasks deemed necessary to fulfill his duty as the QMT QC Engineer/Lead Inspector for
the project.
Responsible for onsite/offsite quality control of the work & overall QA/QC organization.
Manage implementation of approved Project Quality Plan of the project.
Prepare quality procedures or work instructions for the operation of the quality system, and check these are well established and implemented by the site staff.
Manage internal audits on Project Organization and Subcontractors.
Lead the Quality Control engineers on site.
Have authority to act on all quality matters on site.
Certifying that submittals (incl. method statements, work procedures, work instructions, material submittals, etc.) prepared by Technical/Construction/MEP Departments and/or Subcontractors, for the construction, installation, commissioning and handing over activities, are prepared in a timely manner and in compliance with the contract document and approved drawings, in respect of QA/QC requirements.
Ensuring that a schedule for the production of drawings and submittals is established and maintained.
Access records and electronic document management system to ensure possession of latest revision of Drawings, Method Statements, and Material Approval response from Employer.
Manage the submission of QC certification and documentation required in the contract.
Ensure that a labelled sample of each material submittal is kept in Sample Room as required.
Coordinate and monitor all quality control testing, including:
Overseeing performance of testing laboratory, Verify that testing procedure comply with Contract Document.
Verify that testing facility and testing equipment are available and comply with standard approved by Employer.
Prepares Inspection & Testing Plans (ITP) in coordination with Technical and MEP departments, and ensures it is implemented.
Evaluate Quality Control procedures provided by subcontractors.
Conduct surveillance visits to premises of nominated subcontractors/suppliers for inspection of materials prior to delivery to site (where required).
Submit daily, weekly and monthly QC reports and records of QC operation & tests performed.
Ensure that reports and records are prepared and submitted in accordance with the contract requirements.
Ensure that administration and filing of documents and records are consistent with the contract requirements.
Notify Employer about defective work.
Take corrective action in coordination with construction/ engineering department against non-compliance notified by Employer.
Perform training to staff according to training plan set for the project and detailing in Training Procedure:
Any other duty assigned by Project Director or Quality Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
Meet the specific requirements of the company’s quality system and other relevant specifications.
Advise on project specific quality documents and assist with/maintain controlled document registers for drawings and other important documents as required.
Ensure that technical and engineering records and documents are filed in accordance with the contract filing system.
Ensure that non-conformances are being recorded and take corrective action as necessary.
Manage field activities under the delegated control from a technical viewpoint.
Liaise in accordance with the established lines of communications with other parties in the successful execution of the Project.
Ensure that Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), checklists, instructions and procedures are prepared, reviewed, approved, distributed and up-date as necessary.
Ensure that inspections are carried out in accordance with ITPs and procedures.
Prepare or obtain - codes, standards, operation & maintenance manuals, standards, specifications, drawings, etc.
Ensure work is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Control Plan.
Promote environmental awareness to project personnel.
Ensure engineering environmental controls are effectively implemented.
Ensure construction methods and personnel comply with the requirements of the Project safety plan.
Participate in Risk Assessments as required.
Encourage safe working practices throughout the site
Lead and supervise the preparation of 6.1 documents necessary for testing and commissioning. Compile all the inspection report related to installation and testing of all the pipelines, equipment and other accessories. Ensure that all inspection reports are properly signed off by signatories, all comments are properly addressed and closed approved by consultant.
Supervise the preparation of Final Turn over Documents. Ensure that all documents are arranges according to facilities and discipline. All submittals such as equipment operating manual, inspection and test plan, method statement should be status code A for Final Turn-Over Documents.
Establishing and implementing the documented quality system.
Conducting quality inspection for all works at site.
Ensured that all activities involved in the project have a corresponding method of statement and inspection test plan prior to start the works.
Preparing and maintenance of documents of inspection. Statistical analysis of test results.
Inspection and testing of all construction materials i.e. concrete in coordination with laboratories.
Detecting non-conformance during and after the construction operation.
Evaluation and acceptance of test results, maintenance of all test results conducted at laboratories and field.
Implementing preventive action for non-conformance report, Maintaining the production and schedule.
Update daily accomplished and prepare program for the next day of works based on master plan and schedules.
Coordinate with the construction department and consultant and ensured that all quality record are complete and available for quality audit.
Coordinate with the contractor and consultant regarding the projects.
Attend all progress meetings of the Sales Office to communicate progress and obtain feedback
And/or comments on executed work.
Follow up on daily works activities and performs quality control.
Monitor the productivity and durations of the different activities in accordance with schedules and standards.
Ensure that the production and progress rates performed are according to the construction schedule.
Communicate daily with the Contractor and Consultant to keep the Management aware of the status, progress and issues.
To ensure the proper control of documentation identify in the contracts specifications, project quality plans,
Inspection and test plan, method of statement, quality procedure and other reference codes and standards.
To ensures that the QA/QC procedures has been implemented and followed base on the approved quality plan and procedures.
To ensure that the health and safety has been implemented on site according to the HSE regulations.
Participate in handing over the project phases.

Evaluate modification of approved drawings.
