•Co-ordinate with the Plant Industrial teams (Instrumental, Electrical, Mechanical, Quality, Process, Production, etc) to integrate & ensure smooth operations between Plant Industrial Systems (ADAP, IP21, QIMS, Maximo, OPC, etc ) & Business Systems (Active Directory Services-2003, Lotus Notes, NAS, Antivirus (Symantec), ArcServe Backup, etc).
• Work with the management to provide input for Plant IT investment/budget and expenditure for 3 years IS/IT Plan.
•Manage and control software licenses at plant site.
•Experience in handling Availability Management, Disaster Recovery and Business continuity Management.
•Ensure IT Security and Safety policy to in line with Lafarge Global IT Governance Strategy.
•Dealing with the legal department and the vendor for various types of agreements related to the IT department.
•Good knowledge in world class organizational Health & Safety standard including IT equipment & cabling safety.
•Administration of Windows Server 2003 (ADS) for user creation, permission, policy and other security related issues.
•Configure, administration, maintenance & troubleshooting of LAFARGE branch offices (9 sites in Bangladesh & 2 sites in India:1:Dhaka HO, Kutubur, Kachpur, Mirpur, Chittagong, Sylhet Sales Office, 7:Sylhet Depot, 8:Chhatak, 9Barisal & Shillong - Shella of India) network (Fiber, Radio, IPLC, IP-VPN)connectivity.
•Responsible for the administration, maintenance and troubleshooting of DATA CENTER which include 9 HP Proliant Servers (ML/DL350/380G5) including NAS, Antivirus (Symantec), Tape Drive Backup(ArcServe by CA), Lotus Notes, various Cisco Routers(2811, 1841, 1721, etc), Switches(2950, 2960, 3550), UPS(10KV) and power related issues.
•Configure, diagnose and troubleshoot Cisco Routers, Switches, desktop and laptop related problems in terms of hardware and software.
•Administration & maintenance of PABX & Security (CCTV/Access Control) system.
•Dealing with End User support/Helpdesk for all IT related issues.
•Time to time communicate with the Vendors to ensure uninterrupted IT related services.
Project Experience:
•Implementation of IP Phone over LAFARGE data network & integration with the existing PABX system in all the branch offices.
•Windows environment migration from Windows NT4 to Windows 2003 Active Directory.
•Implementation of IPLC between Dhaka Head office, Singapore & Shillong office (Meghalaya, India). Configured E1 Controller at Cisco 2800 Series router at Shillong office.
•Configured the Remote Branches (Sales Depots) network (Radio + Fiber) connectivity in terms of Cisco Routers & Switches.
•Configured IP-VPN in the DR site at Kutubpur, Narayanganj.
•Worked as a team member of the Windows Server migration from Windows NT4 to Windows Server 2003 Active directory.
•Supervised the setup & implementation of the DATA CENTER, LAN Cabling, PABX & Security System (CCTV & Access Control) of Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd’s new Head Office at Gulshan-1.
