A detailed description of activities would include, though not exhaustive:

• Working as a part of the Group Finance Team, reporting directly to the Group Financial Planning & Reporting Manager and on certain assignments to the Group Finance GM and CFO.

• Responsible for reviewing the Monthly Management Reports of ABA Establishment comprising 43 divisions, it’s subsidiaries and associates, whereby significant variances are looked into and a detailed report across the Group is prepared and submitted to the Top Management.

• Responsible for preparation of Quarterly Financial statements of the Group.

• Preparing and Analysing Feasibility Study for all new businesses across the Group and submitting a report on under and over stretch of the expected revenue streams and its inclusions.

• Reviewing the Budgets prepared by various divisions and subsidiaries across the Group, whereby analysis stands as the top priority and thereafter reporting significant findings as a part of the team directly to the CFO.

• Working as a part of the Team for conducting Internal Control Reviews of various divisions and the Group’s Subsidiaries on a periodic basis.

• Being a part of the Group Strategic team for understanding the updations required to the existing financial policies within the group, conducted on an Annual Basis.

• Aligning with external auditors for the Annual Audit of Ali Bin Ali Establishment and also the Consolidation of the Group Accounts (along with it’s subsidiaries and associates) in accordance with the IFRS.

• Analysing the various insurance policies taken by ABA divisions and reviewing the sufficiency of policy covers in line with forecasts and existing circumstances.

• Played a key role along with insurance consultant group (Marsh - Qatar) for reviewing the existing insurance policies and looking into areas where risk still remained unanswered.

• Responsible for filing Monthly Withholding taxes for all the divisions across the group and it’s subsidiaries.

• Independently creating the Chart of Accounts of any new business stream in the group and solely having the responsibility to create any new account thereafter.

• Working as a team for reviewing the Reconciliations including Bank Reconciliations, GL Vs Sub Ledger Reconciliations, Three way reconciliations etc. of all the divisions across the Group

• Aligning with the Group Credit Control Team to review the ageing of Receivables and Payables on a periodic basis.

In addition to the aforesaid, conducting trainings alongwith other indiviuals along the group stands as a part of annual objectives assigned by the top management.
