Achieves electrical engineering operational objectives by contributing electrical engineering information and recommendations to strategic plans.
Plans electrical projects by determining specifications; selecting contractors; establishing installation schedules; planning shut-downs and installations; integrating requirements with architectural and mechanical designs; verifying code requirements; updating cost estimates.
Completes electrical projects by supervising installations; resolving design issues.
Design power system MV & LV including : Load flow, Short circuit, Protection Coordination, Motor Start, Transformer & Generator sizing, Cable ampacity, Earthing & Lightning, Power factor correction Calculations .
Perform Power system analysis using Computer Aided Software: ETAP, SKM power, Ecodial, ABB desktop software, EPLAN .
Supports the Project Manager in accomplishing all the goals and targets for the electrical activities at site.
Estimates, prepares and assigns the resources such as manpower, materials, consumables, equipment and tools required for all electrical and related works prior to execution.
Plans and analyses all possible construction methodologies and recommends the best options to the Project Manager for approval prior to execution at site.
Interprets construction drawings and studies the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to execution of any jobs.
Manages directly and provide engineering and technical supports to all the electrical work groups at site.
Ensures that all the works done are in accordance with the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and all applicable standards whether local, national or international standards.
Design and Erection for :
Power Transformers, Diesel generators, MCC panel, Cable, Cable Tray, Switchgears, Fault Protection devices, Soft starter, Power factor corrections capacitors, Variable frequency Drive (VFD), Earthing system, internal and external lighting, Air conditioning (HVAC).
Generally responsible for implementations and monitoring of all electrical related works at site.
Coordinates with Client / Consultant’s representatives for any site instructions and inspection of works.
Submits site daily reports, inspection requests, estimates and all applicable monitoring reports on regular basis or as required.
Supervise the following activities :
- Diesel generator: Installation, Testing and Commissioning.
- Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS): Installation and Commissioning.
- Power Transformer: Installation, Testing and Commissioning.
- Motor Control Center (MCC) panel: Fabrication, Testing, Installation.
- Cable: Pulling, Testing, Termination.
- Internal and external Lighting : Installation .
