MBA student at Middlesex University. Analyzing many of case studies from real business life and covering six models: 1- Strategy Dynamics (Strategic management is the process of setting long-term direction for the organization. It is concerned with how an organization prepares for the future, its overall strategy and how the strategy is formulated and deployed.) 2- Human Enterprise (exploring and developing the personal and professional skills to manage, lead and coach people effectively through dynamic and continuous change). 3- Finance and Economics (The module explores strategic aspects of financial management and how they effect commercial organizations. You will examine the relationships between key factors in the economic environment, evaluating the impact of changes in these factors on organizational decision-making and performance.) 4- Customer Focus (The module takes the customer, individual household and/or business as central to the four interrelated areas of study. An analytical approach is used to explore each topic) 5- Process and Product (exploration of the operations function, emphasizing those issues that contribute to business performance. 6- Management Perspectives (This module embeds the knowledge and skills already developed, and equips you to operate effectively in the modern corporate environment)
Employing techniques from other mathematical sciences — such as mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and mathematical optimization — operations research arrives at optimal or near-optimal solutions to complex decision-making problems. Because of its emphasis on human-technology interaction and because of its focus on practical applications, operations research has overlap with other disciplines, notably industrial engineering and management science, and draws on psychology and organization science. Operations Research is often concerned with determining the maximum (of profit, performance, or yield) or minimum (of loss, risk, or cost) of some real-world objective. Originating in military efforts before World War II, its techniques have grown to concern problems in a variety of industries.[
