1. Preparation of work plan for the reconnaissance and rapid appraisal of irrigation systems.
2. To monitor and evaluate the existing farmer managed irrigation systems.
3. Planning, Designing and Construction Supervision of Water Resource Development Projects (irrigation, soil and water conservation, Landscaping, High efficiency Irrigation System, Park Development).
4. Formation of Community Organizations/Water Users Association.
5. Planning, Designing, Estimation and implementation of low cost irrigation system according to the area potential through community participation in the rural areas of Azad Kashmir.
6. Analysis, Monitoring and follow up of on going Physical Infrastructure Development Schemes (PIDS), (Installation of Tube wells, Water Lifting Devices, Drinking Water Supply Schemes and construction of Water Harvesting Structures, Diversion Channels, Water Courses, other soil & water conservation works).
7. Establishment local management system to operate and maintain the PIDS on sustainable basis.
8. Season-wise impact analysis of PIDS after completion of schemes.
9. Training of field staff to design improvements for small-scale irrigation schemes.
10. Training of community members for the better management, operation and maintenance of their PIDS.
11. Preparation of monthly, quarterly progress reports.
