The National Project Coordinator (NPC) supports the implementation of the project focusing on the promotion of regional cooperation in drug control in particular the Persian Gulf, The Caspian Sea and the Caucasus Regions. Under the guidance and substantive supervision of UNODC Representative in Iran, the Project Coordinator has the responsibility for the operational management of the project. The NPC is responsible for the day-to-day management of the project, including planning, initiating and implementing the project activities. In close cooperation with the UNODC Representative, the NPC ascertains the accurate and timely delivery of all inputs that have to be provided by UNODC according to the project document. Furthermore, the NP monitors and, whenever possible, supports the Government counterparts in the delivery of the inputs and outputs required. Finally the NPC provides quarterly progress reports and other required documentation.
