From November 2019 to January 2023, worked for Area Team and in addition supported Traffic & Road Safety Team of PWA Design Division. Since February 2023, have been working for Traffic & Road Safety Team of PWA Design Division.
Responsible to manage various full and partial roads and infrastructures in-house and General Engineering Consultancy (GEC) projects, GEC consultant’s works and PWA Design Division team (review / design) works to complete various designs projects following Agreements / Contracts.
A full infrastructure design project includes concept, preliminary and detailed design stages and all of those design stages include design of roads / highway (signs & markings; directional signs, traffic signal; ITS, structures, school zone, road pavement, etc.), utilities (street light, landscape, electricity, water, telecom, etc.) and drainage systems (SW, FS & TSE) designs. Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA/TAR), Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Environmental and Sustainable Report, Road safety Audit (RSA), Departure from Standards, Risk Assessment / Mitigation Report, Geotechnical Investigation (GI), Stakeholders Approval / Report, Construction Documents, IFC Drawings, Value Engineering, Commercial Report / Cost Estimation, Primavera Schedule, Building Information Modeling (BIM), etc. are included in all full infrastructure design projects which are required to be reviewed and / or approved as PM of the projects on behalf of the Engineer.
Regular tasks include management of projects teams and project works; monitor projects progress for on time completion; coordination, communication and management various stakeholders; arrange various meetings; review and approval various design works; response to designer’s query; response to consultant’s clams (cost variation, time variation, etc.); verify and certify invoices, etc. Other responsibilities are to manage QDRS system to review and approve (stakeholder’s approval) various design works in Qatar, to support specific projects (like FIFA 2022 related traffic operation & management and transportation planning projects, Expo 2023 project, etc.), review safety and traffic related pre-qualification documents following BS EN 1317, MASH - AASHTO, NCHRP - Report 350, etc. Completed full infrastructure projects are DW094 (120 HA Area; Cost 356 mil); DW095 (850 HA Area; Cost 233 mil); CP832, EDS1696, Design and Built of Bus Stop Shelter and associated Infrastructure project, etc.

Senior Transportation Engineer - Design Manager at SEERO Engineering Consulting LLC

Main responsibilities were to manage various roads / highways, transportation and infrastructure engineering projects and manage a big design team for on time completion of various projects within allocated budget ensuring quality and quantity of all design works.
Regular tasks were to assign tasks to team members, monitor team works, monitor project progress, give decision on design works, organize various meetings and prepare minutes of meetings, manage various stakeholders, identify risks and manage risks, communicate and coordinate with clients and approving authorities for various approvals, make presentations, carry out various design and report writing works, etc.
Projects tasks were included design of roads, highways, roundabouts, intersections, road markings, traffic signs, traffic signal, drainage systems, road pavements, traffic diversion plan (TDP); prepare design / construction drawings, construction documents, various reports, specification, BOQ; etc. Other responsibilities were to monitor traffic survey works, prepare technical proposal, manage project data, evaluate team performance, manage lesson learns, project cost estimation, etc.
Completed projects were are around 200 which include various projects such as roadway design, Temporary Traffic Management (TTM), storm water drainage design, flood assessment, road safety audit (RSA), school zone design, industrial area design, limited and full Traffic Impact Study (including transportation planning & modeling; traffic data collection and analyze; trip generation estimation & trip distribution; parking area analysis; access management; queue analysis, etc.); 3D clash detection in Building Information Modeling (BIM) using Navisworks & Revit; etc..

Design Engineer at ACE Consultants Ltd (Part of SMEC Australia)

Working under the combined Design Division of SMEC Ltd. Australia and ACE Consultants Ltd. Bangladesh. Tasks are to carry out geometric design following AASHTO, Austroads & RHD manual, road side drainage design, road marking & traffic signaling design; manage survey data; mestimate quantities of various materials including BOQ preparation; prepare reports; etc. The assigned projects are as follows :
a) Feasibility Study project for Cosntruction of Tunnel from Bir-Shrestra Shaheed Jahangir Gate to Agargaon Rokeya Sharani from April 2012 to till now in association with SMEC ltd, COWI Denmark and ACE Ltd. Tasks are to prepare various tunnel layout plans, prepare geometric design of Tunnel Alignments, connecting roads and roundabout, etc.
b) Chittagong City Outer Ring Road Project, from November, 2011 to till now, responsible for geometric design of 40 km roadway with roundabout following AASHTO, Austroads & RHD manual, traffic signaling and line marking design, calculation of quantities, etc.
c) Feasibility Study project for Construction of Railway cum Road Bridge (Extradoesd) across River Karnaphuly at Kalurghat point, 2 month intermittent work from January to February 2012, responsible for survey work management and geometric design of complex approach road and rail embankment for four lane road cum rail bridge.
d) Design and Partial Supervision of Conversion of MG Railway bridges into DG/BG bridges on west jone of Bangladesh Railway, responsible for survey work management and data collection for 146 nos rail structures, geometric design of rail diversion, prepare construction drawing, coordinate with Structural Engineers etc.
e) Beautification of Bangabandhu Bridge (Jamuna Bridge) from September 2010 to Apr 2011, responsible for road geometry, traffic signaling and line marking designing, survey work management, quantity estimation, BOQ preparation technical specification for widening of approximately 30 km approach road, etc.

Worked as a Design Engineer under “Padma Multipurpose Bridge Design Project” founded by World Bank, ADB, IDB, etc, executing by BBA and lead by MAUNSEL | AECOM Ltd, Newzealand in association with NHC Ltd, Netherland, SMEC Ltd, and ACE Consultants Ltd. Main responsibilities were to carry out various types of tasks related to approximately 12 km approach road and 14 km service road design works for approximately 6.15 km long Padma Bridge. Tasks were to prepare survey specification; monitor survey work; fix up geometric design criteria following AASHTO, AUSTROADS & RHD Specification; prepare geometric design of access road and service road using Auto CAD, prepare construction drawing; prepare various reports (design criteria report, design report); etc. Full responsibilities were to design and prepare drawing for road marking, signaling & storm drainage work and also to prepare BOQ by estimating all quantities of road works.
