Under the direct supervision of Jonathon Gonzales, Regional Director, I was responsible for two Councils; and often assisted with two additional Councils. I was in constant contact with Council Members, members of the community, and grantees. I processed time sheets and travel, ordered supplies, compiled financial and data reports, set up for monthly meetings to include taking meeting minutes and putting packets together. This was a fast paced office and required the ability to prioritize tasks. Other duties as assigned by my supervisor, other Regional Directors, Senior Directors, and the Chief Regional Officer as needed for special projects.
I started out with Office Team as a temporary employee and became permanent full-time with Equiant Financial Services in February of 2007. I processed payments, did trouble shooting for customer accounts, processed incoming correspondence daily to include emails. I answered 85-100+ calls daily and on occasion worked as a collector for accounts on weekends.
This was a family business that my father bought after his retirement. I worked off and on from 1997 - 2005 and managed the bar for the last two years before my family sold the business. Duties included bartending 7 days a week making daily deposits, keeping financial records and ordering bar stock. This was a 7 day a week 12-14 hours a day business.
I started as the Secretary/Billing Clerk and was promoted to Office Coordinator. I compiled information and prepared monthly statistical reports for submission to the Division of Senior Services, took referrals, compiled information for Medicaid billing and General Fund clients to be submitted to the billing office. Prior to January 1997, I submitted all Medicaid billing directly to First Health for payment. I wrote letters maintained administrative and client files, processed timesheets, made staff travel and lodging arrangements. I then moved to the Human Resources Department of the Hospital and input new employees, terminated employees, changed all payroll information, maintained employee personnel files, processed retro active pay calculations, verifications for financial institutions and coordinated events which included the annual Christmas party and the employee recognition luncheons.
I answered phones, processed in and outgoing mail, typed correspondence, fixed pay problems, filed, reviewed leave and earning statements for discrepancies, made travel arrangements, was responsible for transporting VIPs, and made sure annual soldier evaluations were done by senior NCOs and approved by Officers which included reviewing prior to submission to the Personnel Administrative Center. I also attended required monthly training exercises which included going out into the field to qualify with the M-16, driving skills, physical fitness testing, and tactical exercises.
High School honors in physical fitness, 9th place State cross country running, also participated in swimming, I was a life guard all through high school, played volleyball, wrestled, and placed 3rd in the Native Youth Olympics for the one arm reach.
