Primary Objectives:

• Creation of detailed work plan.
• Review analyse and interpret construction drawing, shop drawing, Bill of Quantity and specification to facilitate or undertake detailed take offs in the format prescribed by the project method of measurement; for use within interim or final Variation, Payment applications, Claims or subcontractor/ Supplier enquires or payment.
• Comparing the tender documents & documents issued for construction and forward to consultant if any additional claims prepare quantity take-off, cost analysis and variation order, Identify Cost Variation from commented RFI’s and shop drawings, prepare and submit to Consultant for approval.
• Preparation of MEP material and installation budget cost (Cost Comparison Table) for the project.
• Preparation of material take-off measurement sheet for progress billing and valuations of progress payments.
• Coordinate and discuss with consultants & sub-contractors to finalize payment and variation.
• To ensure Interim and Final Accounts are submitted on time to maximise cash flow.
• Prepare the drawing and documents for the presentation and justification of variance with tender quantities
• Visit the site and undertake any physical site measurement as may be required to secure full and detailed measurement record which may including making photographic record.
• Taking Physical stock, inventory check and audit on site as for payment application and interim purpose.
• Coordinate with other Project Department such as Planning, Engineering, Operations, Procurement, QA-QC and HSE to ensure provision of satisfactory commercial support.
• Coordinate with the procurement, suppliers and manufacturers for pricing and material details.
• Recording and monitoring of all the site activities and cost being expended on the project.
• Attend Project weekly and monthly progress meeting, both internal and external.
• Maintain all MEP QS documents and logs / registers applicable.

Key Highlights:

• Developed commercial and risk policy to business to raise awareness of risks involved in respect of the execution of projects from tender receipt to Final Account.
• Closed the various variation order with main contractor and sub contactor.
• Introduced and established the Star rate log for the project for any new item introduced as per the Engineers requirement for the future reference.
• Developed the system to record all the abortive work and redundant material.
• Developed the system b/w Engineering, Operation and commercial team to combine review of the RFI’s, Material submittal comments to identify the additional commercial requirement of the project.

• Prepare material take-off for Mechanical, Fire Fighting, Instrumentation, Pipelines and including civil work applicable for the pipes (consumable and major materials), steel structural supports including design fabrication and equipment’s from approved shop drawings.
• Compare the tender documents & documents issued for construction and forward to consultant if any additional claims prepare quantity take-off, cost analysis and variation order, Identify Cost Variation from commented RFI’s and shop drawings, prepare and submit to Consultant for approval.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers, Supervisors and QA/QC officers about the completed work prior for submission of daily report,

• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO) for Materials, consultancy services or manpower to suppliers after thorough evaluation of the suppliers cost proposal based on the approved budget for high and on time deliverable.
• Checking and verifying acceptance of subcontractor’s works including rectifications prior to handing over to Engineer.
• Provide assistance by providing necessary drawings, estimates and contract related documents for mediation.
